Switching to Clydesdale/Yorkshire again

My wife and I had a joint Yorkshire Bank account up until August last year when we switched to get HSBC's £150 + £50 incentive.


However, with their £250 switch incentive, my wife is switching her sole TSB account to Clydesdale as a sole account (we've got married since we had a YB account). Will she qualify for the £250 with Clydesdale in this instance?

Eligible customers

This offer is available to new and existing Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire Bank and B (referred to together as “CYB” in these terms and conditions) customers who meet the qualifying criteria below.

Qualifying criteria:
1. Complete a current account switch from a non-CYB current account, to a CYB Personal or Private current account.
2. The switch must be completed using the Current Account Switch Service*, which involves the transfer of all active credit and debits from the account you hold with another bank or building society, and the completion of an account closure instruction for that account.
3. The date which you select for the current account switch to complete must be within 31 days of your instruction to us.
4. The account must have two Direct Debits, both of which meet all of the
following criteria:
a. They are transferred as part of the switch or set up in the 62 days following the completion of the switch;
b. They must be paid from your account within the 62 days following the
completion of the switch; and
c. They must not be cancelled before we have made the payment of £250 into the account.
5. Credit your account with a total of at least £1,000 within the 31 days following the completion of the switch and a further £1,000 in total in the following 31 days. Certain credits like cheques take more time to clear and funds must be cleared during each period to qualify. This excludes any internal transfers from any CYB accounts (held either in your sole name or jointly with someone else).
6. Log into one or more of the following digital services provided by CYB, within 62 days of the switch completion date - Internet Banking, Mobile Banking apps or the B App; and
7. You (or any joint account holders) do not qualify for this offer if you have previously received a cash incentive for switching to CYB using the Current Account Switching Service.

Payment
8. You can only benefit from this offer once. Joint account holders are only eligible for one payment of £250 in total.
9. We will credit £250 to your account with us within 70 calendar days of your account switch being completed, provided you meet all of the qualifying criteria detailed in these terms and conditions, within this period.

Other Conditions
10. We may withdraw the offer at any time without notice. If we do withdraw the offer, you won’t qualify for the payment unless you have already instructed us to undertake the Current Account Switch before the offer is withdrawn.
11. All applications for Personal or Private Current Accounts are subject to status and eligibility criteria.
