HSBC Advance Account-Experience

Hi everyone,
I though of sharing my experience of applying for the HSBC Advance account.
I applied initially online on Monday 23rd of October. While applying they offered me up to £3000 overdraft limit (free for the first 6 months), which I couldn't believe! I though I shouldn't be that greedy and asked for £2000 instead. At the end the application said "we will be in touch". I called them yesterday evening (25th) and they said that they only remaining thing was to verify my address and my ID by going into the branch. They were able to book an appointment for me very quickly for the next day (26th-today)-afternoon in my nearest branch.
I was a bit scared after reading how many things they ask sometime (proof of income, ID, proof of address). So I had everything with me (payslips, bank statement, UK driving licence, passport, utility bill, council tax bill). When we started the meeting the advisor asked only for my UK Driving licence and nothing else!!! He didn't even ask to confirm my income!. After finalising the application he also said that I was eligible for a credit card as well with £5500 limit....which was a bit of a shock for me.
The largest credit limit I have is £2600 on a Lloyds cc and £1900 on a barcaycard. Also I have £500 overdraft limit on my lloyds current account.
It was very nice to see this generous offer and I am going to switch my unused Barclays account for the £150 bonus and I will pay my salary to them from now on!
Very nice and smooth experience so far-registered for mobile & online banking and now I am waiting for the cards (Debit & credit) to arrive and for the switch incentive!
