NatWest applies "Foreign Purchase Fee" to GBP transactions
NatWest's "Foreign Purchase Fee" is a 2.75% margin on foreign currency conversions (reasonable) - with a £1.00 minimum charge (not so reasonable). Until now, I'd assumed that this fee was applied to purchases denominated in a foreign currency. I've not been charged it when shopping online at foreign websites and paying for…

Santander 123 to TSB Classic Plus
Hi all, I currently have a Santander 123 current and credit card. I don't use the current account for savings as I don't like to keep that amount in there and noticed last night that I only make about £4 from the DD cashback. Obviously with the new £5 fee, I'm not going to be making any money out of this and been looking…

We currently have an account with Intelligent Finance. We really need to switch it as the interest is practically non existent. They are no longer opening new accounts so I'm sure it's only a matter of time until they close remaining accounts. What I really like about the account is that we have various 'jars' within it,…

Worth switching from Santander 123 to First Direct?
I've been with Santander since around 2008 and upgraded to the 123 account 2 years ago when I took out a mortgage with Santander. I earn approx. £6 per month on direct debit cash back which will go down to £3 when the new fee kicks in. Is it worth switching? Been looking at the First Direct deal that's going around with…

I opened up a Flexdirect current account at Nationwide a little less than a year ago with my husband i.e. joint account.
