Failed standing order credit rating
Hi everyone, The standing order for the rent failed, as two house mates failed to transfer the funds. I'd left sufficient funds in my account if one forgot ( first time they have forgotten). I couldn't check my bank online as I was abroad without Internet access. Landlord insisted rent came from one account before we could…

Errors on Nationwide flexaccount statement!
I have just opened my Feb-March 2013 statement for my Nationwide flexaccount and have noticed that they have duplicated several days of Dec 2012 transactions (including Christmas shopping and a mortgage payment) onto the top of the Feb-March statement which has reduced the bottom line balance by over £600. It would be…

Nationwide make me sadface :(
It's such a pity Nationwide are being naughty with me as of late. They have just updated all of my credit files to show that I am £2,800 overdrawn against a £500 overdraft limit! Yeah, my credit files say I am £2,300 over my OD limit. I admit I was £2,800 overdrawn at one point, but at that time I had a £5,000 limit. The…

When appplying for 123 account I said I didnt want an overdraft facility. Account is open and paperwork has arrived but where overdraft details are shown is says (in many more words) that "we have checked with Experian and you don't qualify for OD" Do I need to worry that this could have an effect on my (clean) credit…

Freezing Halifax bank account
Hello, I'm writing this post on behalf of my mother. She is overdrawn on her Halifax account. We have set up a new Natwest account to get her out of the red, and the plan was to freeze Halifax to stop the charges, and therefore allowing her to pay off a little every month (which we were told we could do, when we previously…

Is the Santander 123 Account Worth it?
Is the Santander 123 Account worth it? I currently have a current account, savings account and joint account all with the same bank but I am figuring I might be better off closing the joint account, which I use for bills and opening the 123 account. I guess the cashback and interest is paid at the end of a 12 month period?…

HSBC Current Account - Do I have to pay Salary into it?
I am applying for a normal HSBC account so I can take advantage of their regular saver account. I don't earn enough to pay tax as I am part time (student), so in comparison to my ISA which is a measly 1.6% this seems like the better option (4%). Even if I had to pay tax it still seems like the better deal. I filled out the…

First Direct Vs NatWest - best overall and for customer service?
Seems to me like NatWest's online banking and customer service is going downhill - from doing a little research First Direct seems to come out tops. Are there any disadvantages using FD instead of NatWest or switching from NatWest to FD? I only need it for a current account and credit card. Thanks

Nationwide do it again
So I opened a new account with Nationwide, a Regular Saver. Guess what? Card and Pin sent on the same day... again... and the card doesn't need activating. Fed up with this, logged feedback with them, already seen someone else on here fall victim to mail fraud due to Nationwide sending out cards that don't require…
