Is it better to exchange holiday cash before travelling to France or to use an French ATM as needed to withdraw cash?
I have Nationwide debit and credit cards available, or HSBC but I think they are more expensive.
Thanks for any advice, BB

It depends where you get the cash here - but you would be hard put to beat the Nationwide debit card in an ATM. You can do it - but would have to open a new bank account. And one or two specialist outfits in London might come close as well.
Read the holiday money section of this website - hidden away under travel/motoring at the top of this screen0
