what would be the best account for me ,, im still self employed but winding my work down,, but i have a few old clients who pay me by check and the checks are made out to ABC plumbing so can not as im awere go in a personal account,,,, i now get about only 2 a month so i closed my currant business account,,, obviously i need to contact my old customers and change the name so i can use my personal account,,, but in the mean time what can you suggest,,, the only thing i will use this account for would be to pay in any checks

HSBC Direct is free for life, it is aimed at people that mainly do electronic transfers, pay by card etc rather than counter services but you can pay in up to 5 cheques a month for free0

In UK it's "cheques" not "checks".
Also, is there any difference between ",," ",,," ",,,,"?
Re your question, I don't understand what you mean. If the business account is closed you cannot deposit cheques written on the name of the business. Either open a new business account or ask the clients to reissue the cheques to a different payee.0 -
thanks inside insurance i will go with hsbc,,, grumbler the first poster had no problem with understanding,,, spelling mistakes are not a problem to every one get over it0
