Best second bank account?
Hi all, Lately I've been very disappointed with Barclays, who I bank with. Six months ago I reduced my £3000 graduate overdraft to £2100, thinking this was a 'sensible' move. Last month my partner and I relocated to London to start new jobs the following month. My plan was to simply extend the overdraft back to £3000 to…

Halifax online problem?
*Sigh* Every time I log into my online account with the Halifax recently they seem to have changed it in some way. Yesterday I tried and it's another "great new look" but although I can see my current account listed there, I can't click through to see the account itself which is rather annoying!! My other Halifax accounts…

Slightly concerned....
I've had a bank credit into my account today for £196.44 - which seems an odd amount from 'Standard Finance', the bank say they can't see any more information than me. I'm expecting a payment of about £40 more than that from my old work - but 'Standard Finance' is nothing like the name! Google brings up all manner of scams…

My wife studied in the USA several years ago and still has two bank accounts with US Bank and Wachovia. She has $1495 in US Bank and about $200 in Wachovia. I had a basic bank account with HSBC, which I was happy with, however they have now cancelled my account as I had three DD payments returned, which is fair enough. Cash 'sucked' back into machine
A friend of mine used a cash machine last week, and took too long to get her £30 out of the machine, so it sucked it back in. Her bank, Barclays, have told her today that they will launch an investigation into it, but it could take up to 14 days. I think her account is a basic one, but is there a way she can have a…

Hi All, I’ve recently joined the forums as I’ve a few questions to ask. My partner doesn’t have a very good credit rating (well, that is what the banks have told us when she tried to open a new current account). My credit rating, however, is fine. I have recently done a check on myself with Equifax and it shows my free…
