Does anyone know how first direct work when it comes to applying for an overdraft. I opened an account in January, and this month asked for a £250 overdraft which was agreed (they did not do a credit check). If I ask them to increase this to £1000, will they credit check me?

Barclays increase in interest rate
Hi I have a Additions account with Barclays and I've just received a letter to say they're increasing the interest rate on my overdraft from 14.9% to 18.9%!!!
