hello, i tried to open current acc in high street banks and i was refused, i was thinking if i open bank account with my girlfriend and i be as joint applicant and she as main one do bank still check my credit file or just hers ??? Many thanx for answers

Okay, so its 00:39 and im bored. Just sent £20 from HSBC account to my Halifax account. In the 1 minute it took me to logout of HSBC and into Halifax internet banking the £20 had already arrived. INSTANT payments are here people!:D

So the Premier Direct Current Account currently offers 8.50% AER interest for balances up to £2,500, but 0.10% for anything over it.
