Its instant with Lloyds too. This is seriously cool. New transaction code of FPI on Lloyds TSB statement, and an 18 digit transaction reference?

Is A&L to and from Halifax working yet? If not it'll be quicker for me to use cash machine and deposit via post office in the morning

I sent funds to Barclays and A&L from Lloyds and Barlcays still hasn't shown up. I cannot check A&L as their crappy website wont work.
Edit - Neither transfers have shown up and they were sent two days ago. I guess i'm unlucky.0 -
I recall reading on the HSBC website that initially, immediate transfers are limited to payments of £20. I can't find the information now.
Can anyone confirm if I'm correct and when larger transfers will be allowed.
I may be being cynical but the banks seem to have kept the publicity for this, very low key.

Have tried sending from First Direct (HSBC) to Barclays but each time it says the other bank is not able to accept payment and nothing came off the account. Then when I went to Barclays the payment had arrived. So I repeated this a few times. After the fifth occasion the original transfer was deducted from Barclays thusly:

[STRIKE] If you read all that, so far I'm 'up' 9p[/STRIKE] - will have to see if there are more reversals later, I suppose as none of the 'credits' actually left FD
(sucks - they've now recalled all the the payments!).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -

There is a sort code checker here that lets you know if a particular bank/BS can accept immediate transfers.
Presumably it could be used to check if the sending bank is set up for faster payments as well

No it can't - eg Lloyds - which is set up to receive faster payments only (and there you have to set up future dated payments as they have no direct 'set up and pay' - which may explain their position as I think that Faster Payments is only set up for 'immediate payments' for the first two weeks - A&L would be the same...)bubblesbonbon wrote: »There is a sort code checker here that lets you know if a particular bank/BS can accept immediate transfers.

On BBC teletext page 125 it tells you the 13 banks involved and the dates for faster payments amounts etc. It is also going to include standing orders.0
