Abbey Photocard Site

Hiya All..

Can anyone get the Abbey Photocard site to work?

http://www.abbey.com/photocard/

Been trying for a few days and wondered if it was just my PC/Connection.

I just get a blank white page when I open the site, is that what you are getting?

Why did you think such a page existed?

Searching for "photocard" on the Abbey website produces only one result - which relates to their identity check requirements, specifically the UK photocard driving licence.

The link that you posted is not working for me either, however if you are trying to get to the information regarding ID then you may want to look at this

    http://www.abbey.com/csgs/Satellite?c=GSInformacion&cid=1127562757103&pagename=Abbey/GSInformacion/GS_DetallePie

That link will take you directly to the photo ID section on Abbeys website.

Sometime, like three or four years ago, Abbey had a program where you could download your favourite picture (within the boundaries of decency, of course), and have it featured on either your debit- or credit card (maybe both).

Obviously that scheme was not the success they had hoped for and Abbey dropped it pretty quickly.

I presume, that link is from those days, taking you to the page describing and taking applications to the scheme.
Alas, scheme and page have long gone.

I knew that Natwest did the photo of your choice on your credit/debit card; didnt know Abbey use too aswell.
I know that Abbey dont do it anymore but Natwest do, so long as you have a debit card and you can request to have a picture on it at anytime, even if you have had your current card for years!!
There is a cost however of £5.00 for each photo card issued.

Interesting - I've just applied for a current account with Abbey, and the paperwork started to arrive today. On the confirmation of details page, it states "don't forget to personalise your card with your favourite image. Log into abbey.com and follow the simple instructions". Appears they haven't updated this part of the standard form then!
  • I paid £5 for my abbey card to be personalised about 2 or 3 years ago and it said that every replacement card I received from then on would have the photo on but when I got my next card it was plain red, I asked why I didnt get my personalised one and none of the staff had heard about it and I couldn't find anything about it online. Guessing they've scrapped the idea. Not impressed after being told all my cards from then on would be personalised :(
