Downgrading A&L account
I opened an A&L premier direct current account in November, and got a £50 referral. I'm not using it as my main account at the moment, so putting the £500 in to avoid the charge is a bit of a pain. Would it be possible to downgrade the account to an "ordinary" current account without losing the referral? I can't find any…

First Direct
I had yet another mail shot from First Direct. they offered me £75 to open an account with them. When I looked at the small print I found that I don't earn enough to qualify. I would have to pay in £1500 monthly to qualify. I rang them to complain. It's no wonder they want £10 a month, and pay a small rate of interest.
