Natwest removed overdraft without notifcation

I have a joint gold account with Natwest that has a £2000 overdraft. As we are self employed we do go into this sometimes but we don't live in it.
On 17th January i went to buy some bits and when i went to pay my card was declined, which really embaressed me! So i went home and checked the balance online, assuming that it must have been an error or hubby had gone nuts! But at £1600 DR i had nothing available. I rang the branch who informed me that my overdraft had been removed. No warning, no explanation. So i complained.
3 weeks later i still hadn't had a response, but had been slapped with £267 worth of charges for unauthorised overdraft! And all i had got out the bank was that it had been removed, even thugh it had no expiry date, and that we could "re-apply" for it if we like. To which i said no re-instate it!
I've gone to the banking ombudsman who have said that Natwest should not have removed it without giving me written notification first - which they haven't done!
Todate i still have no current account (as our first payment from our new contract isn't due til next week, but ironically its enough to pay off the overdraft easily), so can't pay any direct debits which include mortgage, insurance etc and Natwest haven't responded to 3 letters.
What can i do????

You need to go in to the branch and speak to someone face to face.0

I'm surprised that the banking ombudsman has got involved with your case because they do not usually do so until you have reached a stalemate with your bank.
Take the letter from the ombudsman into your branch when you see them and use this as a leverage to get the bank to lend you some of their money.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

I have done several times, but they won't do anything. They just refer me to my business manager (who himself has admitted that what they've done is wrong but he can't put it back for some reason)
The branch will no longer get involved as the complaint has gone to Customer Relations0 -

I initially went to the Ombudsman for advice, and they said that Natwest were in the wrong but as are the rules, they can't get involved but can let Natwest Know that they have been notified and will await their final response. Natwest have this letter, and my letter's but won't respond.0 -
Basically, the complaint is logged on their system, but they wont respond or even acknowledge it in writing.
No one has contacted us to say why it was removed, and no one wants to put it back.
Their own T&C's say they will notify me in writing before removing an overdaft, yet they didn't0 -
I HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH BANK OF AMERICA IN THE U.S. MY DAUGHTER USES IT FOR HER BUSINESS WITH MARY KAY(PRODUCT LINE). SHE HAD SOLD 4500.00 IN SALES AND 1500.00 WAS MADE OUT TO MARY KAY. TO MAKE A VERY LONG STORY SHORT MARY KAY WOULDN'T EXCEPT THE CHECKS AND THE BANK WOULDN'T PUT THEM THROUGH; MY DAUGHTER GOT STUCK FOR OVER 3000.00 IN OVER DRAFT FEES AND MARY KAY SAID GET THE CLIENTS TO REPAY YOU AND EVERYONE TOOK THE 5th. IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE BUSINESS FROM HELL AND NO-ONE (BANK INCLUDED) WOULD HELP. WE HIRED AN ATTORNEY; MARY KAY WAS IN THEIR RIGHTS AND MY DAUGHTER HAD TO PAY THE OVER DRAFT FEES OR GO TO JAIL (SHE SHOULD OF WAITED FOR THEM TO CLEAR). LIFE IS FULL OF UNBELIEVABLE SITUATIONS! I'M SORRY, BUT THIS MIGHT BE YOURS. VIV0

No offence but that's not quite the same thing. And a my business bank manager and the Ombudsman have all agreed that its not right, i believe that i am entitled to fight this to the enth degree. What they have done is wrong, it even says it in the T&C's, so i'm not being fobbed off. The irony is that my overdraft is now paid off, but i am awaiting a refund for the charges, and an explaination as to why they did what they did, and why they failed to respond to my correspondance0
