Spanish Saving's Account - Idea's Pls.
I am looking to open a savings account in Spain as I have heard that this is a good way of "getting into the system" with regards to Residencia and Mortgages etc without actually being a resident. Is there anybody out there with any ideas as to which bank has online facilities in English, has good rates and will let me…

Bank Branch/Cashpoint Info
Hi, Is there any way I can find out how many branches each of the banks have? It is useful when choosing a new bank as it gives a better indication that smaller rural areas may have branches. Also, it gives you a good idea of number of cashpoints.

whats the best euro account?
I'd like to open a Euro account for general holiday spending and also to make most of good rate at the moment. I'd like a debit card as well so I can use when abroad. I won't have more than 3000 Euros to put in though. The ones I have seen so far charge a monthly or annual fee and have minimum deposit amounts? Does anyone…

Part of the problem is that I get paid every 2 weeks, my husband gets paid twice a month and some bills are 2 weekly, some are…

Royalties Gold RBOS v A+L Premier Plus
I know Martin doesn't like these 'packaged accounts' but we pay £144 per annum for this account which gives us both Annual Worlwide Travel Insurance (worth around £90), 25% off the total bill for 4 in some restaurants (worth around £60), 10% off the total cost of flights or package holidays for us and anyone travelling…

HSBC Credit Checks
Hi Me & my partner have just had a copy of our credit reports and have seen that when we applied for a joint current account with HSBC they credit checked me, but not him. This also happened when we applied for credit cards independently, again I was searched but he wasn't. I've been a customer with HSBC since 1985, and my…

A&L 5% interest account
For a while now, I have been reading about the A&L 5% interest account on mse and the Lloyds 4%. There are a few things I am not clear about. 1) Do you have to transfer your existing current account or can you just open a new one? 2) My earnings come from several sources and sometimes in cheque form - I do not really want…

how do I get to the last page?
I would like to ask a question about A&L 5% current account on the budgeting & current account thread, however there appears to be about 58 pages to this. How do I go to the last page without trawling through every page? My go to page no. options only go up to six and I cannot find a 'last' when I am directly on the page?

European Bank Transfers (Euro BACS)
I'm scratching my head a bit here. In 2003 the EU made direct bank transfers under EUR 12,500 free between countries with the Euro as their currency. I thought this meant that some UK banks also provided this service free. In fact I received an auction payment from The Netherlands and was not charged. The seller never…

Wrong sort-code
I sold something on e-bay and the seller was transferring the money (£119) to my bank account. My sort code is 40-63-01 but on the e-mail I wrote 40-63-04. The account number is correct. I was wondering why it has not arrived since 27th May. How long will it take to find the money do you think? It could be in my bank's…

Warning: Barclays Charges Increasing!
Barclays current account charges are increasing if you go over your agreed overdraft limit: New charge is £25 per day for going £5 over your limit, plus £25 for each subsequent transaction which takes you £1 or more over that limit. Kind old Barclays are however now only going to charge you ONCE per day. They will also…

However now I can't get anyone to accept me as a customer, because of my awful credit history and scary bank statements. I need…
