Hello,
I am trying to open an account with Smile.co.uk and they told me to send all relavent id. details to them via a freepost address. As the ID was only in a single envelope I just put it in the post box however the last freepost I sent I handed in at the P.O...should I have done that on this occasion also?
I'm a little worried RM will loose it..like I say didn't know where to put this so please feel free to move to the correct board.
Thanks in advance!

Don't worry. If your item would be delivered by simply handing it over at a post office counter, without the counter staff doing anything to it, it will be delivered if you put it in a post box.
It's only necessary to hand an item in at a post office when using a form of recorded delivery – Signed For, International Signed For, Airsure, etc. If you put such an item into a post box, it'll still get delivered, but you void the recorded part of the service.
Of course, the Royal Mail do lose items, but they're just as good at losing them however they receive them :rotfl:古池や蛙飛込む水の音0
