Bank Branch/Cashpoint Info

Hi,

Is there any way I can find out how many branches each of the banks have? It is useful when choosing a new bank as it gives a better indication that smaller rural areas may have branches. Also, it gives you a good idea of number of cashpoints.

I don't know...
Most of banks have 'branch finder' on their websites, but this doesn't help with total number of branches...
Just out of interest - what do you need branches in rural areas for? And most of cash machines allow free cash withdrawals regardless of what bank you have a card with (there are some exceptions).

Choosing based on number of branches sounds a little wierd. Yeah a bank may have branches all over the place but if none of them are convenient for you then it's a bit pointless. Another bank may only have 2 branches but if they're perfectly placed then it's your ideal bank! The cashpoint argument doesn't apply any more either as you can use any UK ATM card in any bank machine for free these days.

You can get an indication from http://www.yell.com/ucs/HomePageAction.do?tab=homesupersearch but it will only return a maximum of (I think) 100 instances
