BT = problems
I have to say I have had nothing but problems with BT. The latest problem is this: I phoned them asking if I could stream BT sport through the website, they said I should have fast enough broadband (it is only 2-3meg) and that I would need to sign up for 1 year to get access. I signed up and discovered that I cannot stream…

BT have sprung unpaid bill on me
Hopefully, this is an appropriate section to post in. Couldn't find one in the essential money section. I received a letter from a debt collection letter from Fredrickson International Ltd regarding a balance of £154.84 owed to BT. I spoke with BT and was informed they believed I still owed £123.87 from the account I had…

Same/superior broadband deal available for cheaper price: am I owed anything?
Sooo, I've been paying £40 for my Virgin 50mbps + Calls Broadband package. Virgin have had ongoing, superior offers with prices equal to or less than my package for months, such as 100mbps + Calls for £33. Am I owed any kind of reimbursement for the months where I've been ripped off?

BT speed test
My BT broadband using their own speed tester, for which you need to be logged into your BT account, invariably registers 52 Mb/s for downloads, whereas using the recommended Broadband Choices Tester it regularly says the download speed is under 12MB/s. How would you interpret this?

I have resently moved house, but within the same village, in fact the new house uses the same BT Cabinate. At the old address I had superfast broadband service with around 30MB for about year and half, which was with Plusnet. I move about 200 yards around the corner from this address suing the same service provider,…

Moving house and no Infinity 2 availability
Hi all, Just wondering what BT's stance is RE my infinity 2 contract. I'm in the process of moving house, and have just found out their speed checker site claims that there is only 3-7mb download available, which seems ridiculous in Reading. Obviously I'll give them a call and find out from them, but I was hoping that some…

Installing Fibre methods
Hi there guys, I'm working on a renovation project on a small hotel. We have a plan for the wifi set up around the building, the thing we aren't too sure about is the provider and a good starting point. The concern is that as the project nears it's finale (which is a good few months yet) we don't want all floors down and…

What broadband speed do I need ?
Is 17mb broadband speed enough for internet surfing, email, watching smart TV and some films ? In the flat we have one laptop, 2 smart phones and use them mainly evenings and weekend ? We are in central London. It seems that the cheaper deals offer 17mb. Do we need more than that ? A basic question but to avoid an argument…

Broadband keeps dropping, could it be plastic bag on line?
I have complained to EE and an engineer has called but failed to identify a fault. I had a look outside today and saw a plastic bag on the phone line, could this be the cause? If so who's responsibility is it to remove it? What is their contact number please? Thanks, Fortyfoot
