Switch ISP, retain email address?
Would appreciate advice or views on the following... I really want to keep my existing email address when switching ISP. I've switched ISP only once in the past and managed to keep my old email address (because the address is based upon the incoming SMTP mail server and not the outgoing, it would appear). So, when I…

Hi, Looking to change provider. Currently with BT on standard broadband. They have offered to upgrade my broadband to fibre unlimited for an extra £1 per month. Data Protection Act applications.
We have a longstanding recurring but intermittent fault on our BT line that they seem reluctant to address. We live in a semi-isolated rural property that is the last on the line and our telephone is fed on an old underground line that engineers tell us needs replacing. Unfortunately the engineers recommend that cable be…

Cables and switching from Virgin to BT TV and t'internet
:)Be gentle as it's my first time gang. I'm looking to change from Virgin media to BT for internet and TV (plus a landline I'll never use), but we've had our lounge done up a couple of years ago so my wife (& I of course) have concerns about the new cables. We live in a terrace house without a TV aerial. I want the…

Virgin: Break out or hang in?
Here's a conundrum!: Will breaking out of my 18 month contract Virgin BB contract after only 16 months (they have increased prices, so I think I can), mean they don't offer me a customer loyalty bonus if I just hang in there for those last two months? Basically, I'm trying to weigh up whether the breakout would save me…

Talk Talk fined
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-37565367 "A bug, which could have been fixed, allowed the attacker to by-pass restrictions, but the company was simply unaware of the problem or that it could be solved easily. That was despite two previous, similar cyber attacks earlier in 2015 that should have alerted the firm to the…

BT say I "need" to return their Home Hub 5. Do I?
I've been with BT for between 2-3 years now & have switched to Sky because it's cheaper. Got an email from BT saying I "need" to send their Home Hub 5 back, although as i read it it doesn't sound like I "need" to at all, more like if i want to. On the topic of which - what i would like to do is to sell it, gumtree, eBay,…

"Better Broadband" subsidy code - has anyone any experience?
I have received my code and a huge list of companies that accept it but am unsure of the procedure. Has anyone else used the scheme and can help please?
