BT Infinity Customer Service (or not?)
I got BT Infinity about a year ago and have had a constant battle with poor speeds and poor performance from the BT Homehub. After about enough I decided to lodge a complaint on BT's website two weeks ago and received a call early last Sunday (22nd July) from an off-shore centre who went through the usual reboots, line…

Plusnet cancellation fee rip off
Hi, There are plenty of threads already about Plusnet cancellations but I didn't see any that are quite as ridiculous as my situation. I've been happily using them for 11 months. I knew I might not need them for long so signed up to the £6.49pm package with "No Annual Contract". I paid a sign up fee of about £30 when…

Bt's customer "service." (hollow laugh)
BT's Infinity service is turning into a major joke to anyone who has had it installed recently. Promises of speeds that cannot be kept; customer service promises to call back that never materialise. Engineers that don't show. It has become a farce. Visit BT forums> infinity and see the complaints on there. Some people are…

Broadband Conundrum - Line or Provider?
Evening all, First post, but a regular visitor. Here is my problem: I was a satisfied Tiscali customer, now a not so happy Talktalk customer. My download speed has never been great, but I accept that to a certain extent as I live out in the sticks and I'm about 3 miles from the exchange, however it has recently dropped to…

Broadband Line Rental?
I'm a student trying to set up broadband in our house next year. There's been previous broadband connections to the house, however I'm unsure about what we'd need exactly. We don't want a phone. We want internet. But do we need "line rental"? Could someone please clarify what line rental is. For instance O2 all-rounder…

Frustrated with talktalk
I rang the customer services this morning for my MAC code. 20 minutes later, the advisor stopped offering me services that would actually involve spending more money. She left me hanging for a further 10 minutes to generate my code but then told me it would be emailed in 5 days. Is this the usual time to obtain the code?

File Sharing in Germany - 800 euro penalty
Hey Guys, Looking for a bit of advice here, my wife's parents received a letter in the post from a law firm claiming that she had downloaded an episode of the walking dead and that she had used p2p software to distribute it. I believe the file had been shared from a laptop we took with us when we went to visit them in…

BT Openreach and Sky's fibre optic broadband
Just had an interesting experience. Unusually perhaps, this is not a complaint against Sky, but against their partner in all things broadband, BT Openreach. I booked to upgrade to the new Sky Fibre broadband on 11 July and got an installation date of 25 July, anytime between 1 and 6pm. I subsequently received either a…

TalkTalk - getting a refund for lack of email access?
TalkTalk's webmail is hideous. It's been problematic for as long as I can remember but lately it's getting to the stage where I can't log in at all for entire days. I've complained and TalkTalk just say they're aware of the problem and trying to fix it (they've been saying that for years!), or say there's no problem at…
