Organise Broadband without the phone no?

Hi

Is it possible to organise a broadband deal with only the property address. My student son has just rented a flat and we would like to organise broadband before he gets the keys. The leasing agency have told us companys should be able to do this without knowing the phone number. They apparently don't know the number... just the address! I have asked them to ask the landlady and I am still waiting for that.

ADSL runs over the phone line, so I'm not sure how they could arrange it witout that.
Virgin (fibre) broadband doesn't require a phone line.
But they might be reluctant to proceed without contact details for the property.

No,they need the phone number to provision broadband onto that line.If you don't have or know a phone number,then the systems used will reject the order automatically,the phone number is also used for billing.
Only broadband you will be able to organise without a phone number is Virgin CABLE as their broadband does not run over the phone line.
