Hi all. i have just received an email from Talk Talk with my name and phone number on it stating..: 'We have received notification from another telephone company to cancel your order for TalkTalk broadband for the following telephone number:'
I've never been with Talk Talk or even rung them to enquire about their service. I am with BT internet so its a bit of a puzzle. It goes on to say :
You may receive a welcome pack in the post from TalkTalk, and a letter confirming that your direct debit has been set up - please disregard these if you intend to cancel your order.
We are sorry if you have decided to cancel your TalkTalk order. Remember, please call us on 0870 087 8038 to ensure that your cancellation is completed.
Any ideas?

Hi vwyob
The email sounds like our standard cancellation emails, when another ISP rejects a transfer order. If you are with BT and have not placed an order with TT it may indicate someone placed and order and errorneously entered your details. Whats odd however is they clearly entered the correct email address for you.
We can look into this if you tweet us @TalkTalkCare
Cheers
