Great 'Is there a film or TV location near you?' Hunt

Britain's full of famous film locations eg, Kenwood House where Notting Hill was filmed, to Chiswick Church in Cardiff where Dr Who was filmed. We'd love MoneySavers' top tips and local knowledge to help others have cracking sightseeing days out.

The Transporter Bridge is in Middlesbrough and features in Billy Elliott and on TV in Auf Weidersehen Pet.

You can bungee jump off or just ride across - it's still a working transporter bridge celebrating its centenary next year.

Whenever there are people bungee jumping you can also climb to the top and enjoy the view so long as you're not scared of heights

Gloucester's Victorian docks were used to film the tv series The Onedin Line - a great place to visit, very picturesque, with boat trips during the summer down the canal and up the River Severn. While you are there, visit Gloucester cathedral where parts of Harry Potter were filmed.

Well "Thurrock" has the funeral church from "4 weddings & a funeral".
It is surrounded by big Thames Estuary warehouses.
Many of you will have passed nearby, as it is only a mile from "Lakeside" shopping and "The Dartford Crossing" on the M25.
For a down market experience, you could stay the night in the Formule hotel that is virtually under the arches of the QEII Bridge.
Until about 100 years ago or so, the Estuary was an underdeveloped area, as Malaria was endemic.

Local Hero was filmed 6 miles from here. The red phonebox is still there. There was a landslip there 3 years ago but they've sorted it out now. :)

I remember seeing a full film crew in action whilst driving past the Cow & Calf rocks in Ilkley a few years back, turned out it was for scenes in the rather superb Calendar Girls film

I work in Thamesmead where Misfits is filmed. The lake that appears on the show is Southmere Lake and I often drive past the crew while they are filming by it.
