I was wondering the same thing. My car MOT is due in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if any one had used the MOT Centre in Ivybridge ?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

Nearest is Exeter.

Default Calne Vehicle Testing Station

We contacted the VOSA testing station in Calne last year after Martin posted this information, it turns out they won't test private cars, only council vehicle and other public service vehicles.

If you google VOSA testing stations you get their website and it tells you what each station offers.

Can't seem to see any station (at least in the south west) that says it will test private cars.

I used the Devizes branch this week and would highly recommend it. I will be using it again next year.

Thanks - did your car need work and if so, presume you had to have the work done elsewhere?

Not sure if this is genuine or not, or they just dont want Private vehicles!

The station at Wanchard Lane DT2 9RP (near Dorchester) does cars, with no long waiting list!

The station listed for Chippenham, Audley road, no longer exists. It is now a block of flats.

I'm wondering about that one too. Otherwise anyone used the Plymouth Citybus MOT centre? I don't know of any trusted MOT tester around me and my knowledge of cars is minimal (I just drive it!) so any recommendation is welcome. MOT is due mid September.

Yes, sadly it did need some work doing so got that done (elsewhere) and then took it back a few days later and passed.

Default Service Centre Taunton

This is an independent MOT test centre near Morrisons fuel station in Taunton. They are the only MOT test station in Somerset authorised by Taunton Deane Licensing to test taxis in the Taunton Deane area. By what I can see from what is written in their reception, TDBC only gave this licence to an independent centre in Taunton because it was recommended by VOSA. I think VOSA use to test the taxis before the Service Centre. I have used this test station for my personal vehicles and my work uses them for all of their vehicles. Can highly recommend this MOT centre, definitely one you can trust.
