Thank you to Fedupandskint for coming up with the idea for, and running this challenge for the past 2 years.
A number of us found it so useful we've decided to continue for a further year - come on and join in as we attempt to keep the success we achieved!
Some people kept within their budget and had several No Spend Months :T and others (like me) went over their budget but still spent way less than they otherwise would have.
Do you buy clothes as something to do and stick them in your wardrobe without trying them on and leave them unworn?
Do you wish you could spend less on clothes?
Are you tempted by the sales to spend and buy clothes you don't need?
Do you have clothes in your wardrobe you don't wear?
Come and join us!
Who's up for it?
Who wants to reign in their spends?
You can join any time, we had members joining in November and December, it's never too late to join!
Let's all try to post at least weekly even, in fact especially, if we haven't spent anything - that way we can motivate & congratulate each other :T

I'm in again
No budget, but restrictions on what I can buy
Bras (weight loss will almost certainly mean I need at least sports variety - have loads of non sports in different sizes)
Running shoes (if the ones I have become unfit for use - quite probable given I've just started training for a half marathon in October)
Walking boots (if the ones I have become unfit for use)
Can't think of anything else I'm likely to need, but will allow replacements for anything that wears out / no longer fits where I really, really don't own anything else that will do as a replacement.Cheryl0 -
What a good challenge and one I would like to join please. I'm not sure how much I normally spend but it can't be much as I only take up half a wardrobe and two drawers!! But I reckon I will be needing new undies before too long and I could do with new shoes and a several other items, so I will put down £200 and hope for the best. I don't mind using sales and charity shops so I will be looking there first (not for undies though).
Nannyg2024 is going to be a positive year for me, and it's starting now!!
Buys: All budgeted and paid by cash!
Jan - fridge/freezer
Hoover
Feb - milk frother, curtain pole x2, roller blind - bathroom, toilet seat, bath sink taps, kitchen sink waste unit and an extra double electric socket.
March - raised bed for garden, bathroom cabinet, roller blind - kitchen0 -
Thanks for setting this up somerandom. I would like to join with £150 budget. However I am not including exercise clothes as I may need a new pair of trainers and leggings, having signed up for the moonwalk.Mortgage Dec 2015 - £21545 Apr 2016 - £19930
Crazy Clothes Challenge 2016 £79.98/£1500 -
Can I join please would like to go for £2000

May I join to please. My biggest downfall is CS purchases from the CS where I work which seem like a good idea at the time. The problem is I reckon 75% end up back in the shop unworn by me because after a while I wonder why I bought them in the first place. I will set my budget at £40 a month (£480 for the year) which should make me think twice before buying anything I don't absolutely love.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Welcome everyone !!
I've added you all to the list of members - Moomin zero !!! indeed !!!
Ches I would be bankrupt if I worked in a Charity Shop.
So inspired by you all that I've reduced my budget by a further £50 to £250 for the year !!Shifting my energy for 20200 -
Please sign me up. I've tried this before and failed miserably but this year I mean to succeed!
My rules:- Where a purchase is necessary, buy from charity shops or in the sales.
- No jewellery or scarves - I already have a lot!
- Main purchases should be for work.
- All clothes and accessories have to fit in existing wardrobes - declutter!
- Maximum spend = £500
My budget is quite high because I'm losing weight. Any birthday money/gifts won't be included in the budget but I will declare them. I'd also like to use this challenge to spur me on to streamline my wardrobe and wear what's already in it. If I don't wear it, or it's too big, I need to get rid of it.0 -
Can I join?
Just done my DFD and need to kick off my debt free mission by paying off the first £11000 in the next 12 months.
This will help....a lot...
Budget of £150 for the year only workwear and underwear...
Only buy in the sales...
This will be hard but I could save rather a lot doing this.
Best of luck to you other ladies.
I will check in once a week xxxCredit cards and loan total at Jan 2016=£37599 :eek::mad::mad::(:(0
