I ordered a printer from Tesco Direct, and it was supposed to have been delivered 3rd Jan. Waited all day for it, nothing. Waited all day again 4th Jan, nothing. Kept ringing and they gave me the number for HDN. Rang HDN, they said drivers kept running out of time. Then lied and said they attempted delivery and left a card. I've not stepped out of the house all day for 2 days and been chking the post box. No card, No bell No nothing. Then told me to wait again today. Absolute rubbish.

Where is the Grabbit?!Gone ... or have I?0

They were in the news last week as having a dreadful reputation for 'hit and run' - useless company, I'm afraid. See if you can pick it up from their depot if possible - Interlink allow you to do this, not sure about HDN as hey are private operatives I believe.0

To be fair, I think it's more a question of area and depot than delivery company. IME all firms have good and bad depots, and most people know who the good delivery people are in their area and which ones are the stinkers. Where we live, Royal Mail are excellent, HDN are OK and CityLink are useless.
What I'd like to see is companies like Amazon etc letting us have some say in which delivery service is used. At the very least, I'd like to know who the courier is before I place the order - I want to be able to say "OK, if you're going to insist on sending it via CityLink then I'll get it elsewhere." Somebody living elsewhere might actually prefer them, based on their experiences with the local depot.0
