Just a wee note (and don't get too excited its a long way away). I was discussing with my publisher today an 'Old Style Book'. Not written by me (nor would i claim to have written it) but using the info in this board (i'd hire a journalist to pull it all together).
They loved the idea. My thought was all the proceeds (well all my proceeds, not the publishers themselves) could go towards MoneySaving kids - the new charity fund I'm setting up to help kids grow up as MoneySavers, and good consumers.
It's a long way away, and it was just 5 minutes in a general conversation.
However I wanted to
1. Let you know
2. See what you thought

(Ps dont sticky this, its better as a here today gone tomorrow post)

Great idea and will benefit a worthy cause too........just thinking how many different books could be produced using info from the site.......... all to help worthy causes....:whistle:Make Hay While The Sun Shines:think:0

I think it's a really good idea!Herman - MP for all!0

That sounds great, in a previous post on another board I said that it was such a shame that all the info here doesn't get to be distributed further afield...good idea0

I think it's a fantastic idea. It will be great that everyone can benefit from our pooled knowledge, it encourages people to not waste so much which is very pertinent as the G8 summit approaches and the Make Poverty History campaign gains momentum and it will give us all a chance to give something back and help those less fortunate than ourselves.

I think it's a brilliant idea, Martin. When you see the success of some of the other books out there, which have usually only been cookery OR cleaning OR handy hints, then an all in one which encompasses a bit of everything would surely be a winner. At least if you use the ideas on here, then you can get an indication of which are the most useful, most effective and most importantly for MSEers, most likely to be used. There's nothing worse than buying a new book of this ilk, to find that 90% of what's in it is not useful for your normal day to day life.

I think its a great idea and I'd certainly pick up a copy. It can be hard to go through all the threads here and find those nuggets when you need them. Besides I can put the book in a certain position so that OH reads it and gets some tips too.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
