SMA Progress - Tesco wouldn't sell it today!!

Went to do my weekly shop today. Got to the till & was told that they (Tesco) could not sell me the SMA progress baby milk for 'legal reasons'
Anyone else heard about this? Wondered if it was just this batch or Sma Progress in general?
Will try elsewhere in the week, but wondered if there was any kind of health/safety scare around it at the moment?

Well if it is because there is a bad batch, you would have thought they'd taken it off the shelves and not let you take it to the till!
EDIT: Oooops ... mine drink that...is there a health scare?!0 -
At my tescos the other day on the customer service desk there was a piece of paper with and sma progress recall notice on it didnt see the date on it but that was in big letters it was yesterday I think

Apparently the notice not to sell it had only come in 10 minutes before I got to the till!! They couldn't/wouldn't give me any more info!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Don't know...but would be surprised if SMA Progress is made in the USA then sold here?
This leads to another problem - what do I give her now????20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

I've got 3 tins in the cupboard, one half empty and checked them all... thankfully none of them have that code on the bottom.
And they really should make that information more known to people with babies... that could really freak a Mum out if they found they'd been giving it to their baby all week!0 -
there were recall notices printed in a lot of the newspapers today, not much more a company can do other than that and informing stores not to sell it in fairness0
