Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 8.3.07. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Hi everyone, especially JockettUK who is celebrating her birthday today. Have a lovely day Jockett.
It has been a long time since I started the daily though this doesn't mean I've got anything even remotely exciting to report, life is continuing to be rather mundane, which is why I don't post so much. Today I'm off out to look at more bedroom furniture to make sure I get a decent deal before parting with any cash.
My week's holiday is whizzing by far too fast, oh how I wish I didn't have to go to w*r* (not that I am lazy, but it stresses me out far too much!).
Have a lovely Thursday everyone.
Snowy

donny-gal, SnowyOwl and all to follow.
Jockett, and belated wishes to any I have missed.
I have not posted much lately, I have had a lot of stuff to sort out and we are gradually getting on the right track!
I have reduced our broadband costs, changed gas and leccy suppliers, bought a slow cooker, nearly died when I discovered that leaving this computer on all the time costs on avg 8 units of leccy per 24 hours    .
The washing line is being put to good use and I have been playing with spreadsheets and budgets. I am still hunting down an alternative to our current childcare arrangements and am waiting for our newest adjustments from the WTC.
I have been popping in and having a read every now and again and would like to wish MOGGINS............for today.
Plans for today are.......... the usual tidy up after work, some ironing, playing around with my new detbusters spreadsheet - courtesy of the DFW board and we will be having cheese omlettes and home made chips and peas for tea.To all who need one today.
See you,

HI. Last day at work today before a nice long w/end off. I had a great day yesterday which included lunch of a very large pasty walking around a sea side village in West Cornwall. Now that's work!
The fishing plans I have look like they will be scuppered by the weather again on Saturday, so not fresh Cod this w/end. I hate the weather sometimes.
Well folks have a nice one from me.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

Well, parents evening was really good last night - DS has really picked up again after last years dip, hes back to doing really well, so very pleased there. DD is still having confidence issues (feeling lonely) and needs to read her work back before letting the teacher having it, shes not good with her spellings (like her mum) and sometimes she understands what she has written, but no one else can!!!! Apart from that she is doing really well too very happy mummy.
Have 2 LOs and 2 bigger ones again today, but one at nursery this morning, so think we will make buns this morning, and then when LO back from nursery we will decorate them, then everyone gets to do some cooking. I really need to clean the kitchen floor today, will leave it til after lunch tho, cooking with LOs isnt tidy!!!
Nothing else much planned, but im sure i will keep myself busy - tierd at the moment as im still not sleeping well, have made an appointment with the doctors for monday, hopefully she will be able to suggest something before i drop.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Morning all! Start of my weekend today, and the weather for today looks set fair :j :T . DH has a day off tomorrow (he works a compressed pattern, so has every other friday off) but the forecast is for heavy showers tomorrow  , so I need to crack on outside today. I'll find some inside jobs for us for to do instead
Had a check of a regular saving account that I've been paying into. Realised that I've been paying in too much, so I've defaulted on it, and rather than getting 7%, I've been getting 0.25%  I've closed it down quick sticks, and need to decide what to do now
The hens are laying like good 'uns, so we're getting 21 eggs a week. Needing to give them away, now, as we can't get through that many.
Kaz, best wishes for you and DS!
Moggins, good luck for today!
Snowy, great to see you back. Hope you're making the most of your time away from w***. That way the w***ing hours don't seem so bad.
Smoky - good to see you back, too. Love all your pics.
Jockett, Happy Birthday to You :bdaycake:
Catowen - well donr to your children (and to you :T )
Crazychick, what's happened with your e-bay account? I seem to have missed that one
Rage, hope you're feeling better today. That sounded scary!
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
