This is a continuation of This thread which was closed due to it's length.

What's it about?

Back in July 06 Bailey started this thread to help all pregnant MoneySavers and their partners save on anything pregnancy-related plus give each other moral support. It's been hugely popular and now has a long list of pregnant mothers-to-be. Now it's not just for those that are pregnant but also those trying to conceive and MoneySavers that have probably already given birth and yet are probably too tired to let everyone know.

What should you do?

As well as being a great source of tips, baby-related bargains spotted, mutual support and help MoneySavers here have also gradually built up a list, adding themselves to one of these categories (the last one, people are moved to for obvious reasons!): If you want to add yourself to the list follow these steps:
  • Click on the link at the top of this page that says "Last" (it'll take you to the last page of the discussion)
  • Scroll down until you find the message with the very latest copy of the list in (if you use one further up the discussion other peoples' changes after that will be lost)
  • Copy that (highlight it and click control+c)
  • Click reply at the bottom of the thread to open a screen where you can past it (click control+p)
  • Add yourself to the list then click save
  • And don't feel shy. Introduce yourself, say hello and ask a question if you need to.
Plus, if you're thinking of how to cut down on nappy costs remember to have a read of the Nappy MoneySaving article too and for later down the line if you need childcare first read the Childcare Vouchers article. Speech-Mark-Right.gif

    MEDICAL ADVICE

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: Sorry, giving or asking for medical advice is not permitted on this forum as it’s not what this site is about. While discussing medical insurance policies, cheaper ways to see consultants, cashback for alternative health treatments and how to get specific medication cheaper (legally) are all perfectly acceptable we ask you specifically not to discuss what to do in the event of certain medical problems (please see this rule on the Health Board). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com

How would you feel about twins though! That would be a real shocker!!

It would be a shock but I think we'd manage. Would love to have twins but at the minute am just taking it day by day. Boyfriend and me haven't told anyone about the possibility of twins because the heart beat wasn't detected so going to wait till next scan to see if there has been any development before we tell people.

Although I've no idea of my due date now.

That thread closing was quick and confused the ____ out of me - I was like i just posted on here! thought my computer was having a hissy fit.

    new thread alert!!!

    Parentcraft/antenatal class-

went ok. were 12 couples in total. some never spoke at all some did. i like the ones who ask so i'm not the only one!! and we're all 1st time mums! would have liked a 'i'm jillie and i'm 34weeks' bit as i'm always curious to how pregnant they are and size compared to me.

let us set our own agenda of things to discuss on the topics today. so people could say 'i'm worried bout this or that etc or i have a question on this

we did recognising signs of labour and first stages of labour today.
waters breaking- thought my mum was weird cos hers never did but apparently the longer they dont break, the better as its more cushioned for you and baby

got some leaflets on different positions to ease the pain

said i'm med-high risk cos of existing BP, so this may mean me being monitored in the hospital a lot earlier in labour than most people.am going to try and find out hopefully on monday what this will mean as we need to be prepared.

next week is the 'giving birth section' etc looking forward to it.

Wow Sammy, what a day for you! Sticky bean vibes to you.

JHA I'm wondering about slings, warps and all that. Think I've ruled out ring slings. I've been reading this website http://www.thebabywearer.com/ but still not sure exactly what to get and I definitely want to use something from birth if possible.

Thread closing confused me as well!

I'm working but it always goes quite around this time, I assume as people are heading home from work or making tea. Plus Glam will be off celebrating now!
