Girls, I just need to vent
I don't know if anyone will remember the situation I'm in with my dad but it's flared up again and I'm a mess!!
He's at his place in Spain at the mo with my daughter and she just text me to tell me she asked him how long he was staying for when he brings her back to us and he says he's staying till 1st September!!! Thats a week and 4 days!! He's already had over 2 weeks here getting in our way before he took her to Spain!!! Thats not the worst of it. She also says that he's told her he's coming back in November. We don't know for sure but were thinking he obviously thinks he can come here at the start of November,be HERE for the birth of my baby AND he's way too fcking tight to pay out for a flight home to Spain before xmas to then come back again (not that we want him here!!!!) so thats him here for 2 months!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?????! No asking us,like I said about him before,he just does what the fluck HE wants, doesn't even think about how it may affect others. Now I just know I will go over my due date and have him here! Do you think my hospital would agree to induce me at 38 weeks on emotional reasons?? Im serious.
Oh Helen, that sucks! I think you really need to tell him that he simply cannot stay with you in November. Could you compromise and say he stay when he brings your daughter over and use that time to find somewhere else to stay later in the year?
I don't think they would induce you early because of it, but I don't really know.

Hi everyone
Im 10 weeks today, scan in 2 weeks, woohoo! :j
I am currently listening to 'Bella's Lullaby' from twilight after reading all 5 books in 3 days and hearing the song on youtube. My sister bluetoothed it to me
I absolutly love it, want to see the film now. Has anyone seen it?
**Rant Alert**
Today i got a feedback session with my manager who listened to one of my calls. The call was with a SKY venue guy (the men you see in shopping centres bugging you to buy sky) i was processing his order for him.
I scored 5 on my scoring sheet. Anything below 6 and your meant to go for more training and he asked me to listen to the call.
The guy in question was a right !!!!. He was telling me how to do my job and saying "oh well i tried to order this the other day and the person did it your way and it wouldn't go through, why dont you do it this way and it will go through" and started telling me what to do. So i simply said "No i'll just do it my way, the way we're trained to do ok?"
So he got all twattish with me.
Well anyway, on my feedback form it said that i wasnt trying to engage in convo with him and i wasn't trying to match his upbeat mood.
Excuse me? Why dont you try getting no sleep then having some guy be rude to you. Of course i was going to be a bit off with him.
So my manager gave me tips on how to get better scoring next time lol. :rotfl:
Rant over
Hope your all well?
Oh tesco have a baby event on until septx

went ok. were 12 couples in total. some never spoke at all some did. i like the ones who ask so i'm not the only one!! and we're all 1st time mums! would have liked a 'i'm jillie and i'm 34weeks' bit as i'm always curious to how pregnant they are and size compared to me.
This is what I wanted to happen - OH said he was glad they didn't! He said it already felt like 'one of them AA meetings you see on the TV'!
let us set our own agenda of things to discuss on the topics today. so people could say 'i'm worried bout this or that etc or i have a question on this
we did recognising signs of labour and first stages of labour today.
waters breaking- thought my mum was weird cos hers never did but apparently the longer they dont break, the better as its more cushioned for you and baby
got some leaflets on different positions to ease the pain
said i'm med-high risk cos of existing BP, so this may mean me being monitored in the hospital a lot earlier in labour than most people.am going to try and find out hopefully on monday what this will mean as we need to be prepared.
next week is the 'giving birth section' etc looking forward to it.
Yours sounds so much better than mine! Our 1st session was the same and Monday is 'pain relief'I'm working but it always goes quite around this time, I assume as people are heading home from work or making tea. Plus Glam will be off celebrating now!
Oh yes I am :j
Feel really tired - think it was the final burst of getting stuff sorted out and then tons of trips to the car!
Director 'forgot' my leaving gift - not sure about that! She mumbled something about posting it but we'll see! Her DH said I was welcome back anytime should I change my mind about leaving which was nice.Tigsteroonie wrote: »Yes, I do remember Elle_gee and her early birth - after Wednesday's news, I came back onto MSE and spent ages hunting down her posts in the Pregnancy thread, reading about what happened and how she coped. I remembered her telling about expressing milk for the SCBU, and have already picked up the information from my hospital about how I can do this as-and-when it's necessary (as nobody expects Beanie to go full-term now).
Can someone remind me of the name of the girl who spent weeks on the hospital ward simply being monitored prior to labour? I remember how bored she got etc, I wanted to have a read of her posts too, as this is something I could yet face.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes.
Jha was right - it was Mrs Moc. I think it's best to get a broadband dongle and lappy if you can so you can keep us all up to date!
EA - that sounds crap! Yay on 10 weeks though - it's going fast!
How are u feeling?!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Im feeling good, except not really being able to eat much. Cant face certain foods. I can only eat (happily) greggs chicken club bagettes and corned beef hash. Mum made me some but i ate through it so she told me how to make my own, i have some in the freezer
It is going quick yeah! After 12 weeks hopefully it will fly by. Only 19 weeks left of work!Woohoo!
Im going as early as i can since im not going back after maternity leave i'd rather have more time to myself before the baby arrives
How are you? x0 -
I'm really good thanks!
So glad I've finished work now but think I would have been bored if I'd finished any earlier! Can't believe I could have less than 4 weeks to go now depending on what date they give me when I go in next week!
Oh and BIL are going to come to the scan next week but think I'll leave BIL in the waiting room while we see the consultant as think it will be quite informative next week.
Well, after starting a list of things to do last night - OH did one of them today :A Asked him what made him do it 'I saw it on your list so knew it needed doing'

Hi all,
Thanks for your thoughts and kind words
Just a quick update ...I phoned the hospital at 9:30 and they had no beds. I started feeling "funny" at 10:30 and went to bed, totally shattered with a headache and feeling cold and a constant ache like period pains. I just didnt feel right.
I phoned the mat ward at 11:45 to see if any beds were available and a very nice nurse who answered the phone (thats me being sarky) said "oh for gods sake, Hello mat 2 " told me to come in at 2pm then put the phone down on me!! I dont care how harrassed anyone is ..manners cost nothing.
My Midwife said that she would call round and carry out an internal and i was 4cm dilated. Midwife phoned the ward as whats the point in going in to sit there all day when she thinks i'll start later on my own anyway. So the senior midwife said if i dont go into labour on my own by Sunday a.m then i have to go in. They have booked me in for a 8am ARM and i should be out the same day.
So if i dont have my HB then at least i know that she'll be here on Sunday and i should be back at home in the evening and we can all spend the evening together in bed as a family.
Sorry for long post and not having time to catch up properly. I feel its a bit ignorant.
I'll let you know if anything else progresses.

Sending lots of home labour vibes to you Suzy.
I sound like a right old hyperchondriac at the moment, but I didn't realise that groin pain was a symptom of SPD. I've had it for a couple of weeks and it feels like a sports related groin strain. I had put it down to sleeping awkwardly but I've just googled it and it's one of the main symptoms. That along with my lower back pain make me think that I may have very mild SPD, which is nice! Will mention it to MW at my next apt in a couple of weeks.
Glam- how does it feel to be a lady of leisure? x:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
