Bad news; Mobile Affiliates have changed their t&c without telling anyone. You NOW have to send the original despatch note with claim one and (worse) only have 21 days from the date of each bill to get it to them. Looks like they're going the way of the less reputable companies - maybe not to the despicable depths of The Mobile Outlet but it is NOT welcome!! Will have to think VERY carefully about ordering from them in future. Great shame!
  • hi. could somebody please help with finding out how much i am supposed to claim back

the total amount to claim is £420 so will i be claiming back £140 for 4 months? or the total amount of line rental i have been charged upto that date? this confuses me as i was charged £58 line rental in my first bill.

i was connected to vodafone on the 11th of mrach and my first claim will be 9th of august (120 days). please try and help me out. thanks

YOU CLAIM 5 LOTS OF £84

    after 4,6,8,10 and 12 months

you may even be lucky and get some money from them, I've just threatened them with the small claims court as it's 75 days since I put in my first claim

    Hey Guys,
I am new to all this thred business so hope I am doing this right.......

I am wondering if somebody can help me...... I bought a phone from phoneboxdirect in March. I did not save the Claim form at this time and I have recently realised that they have changed the one on their website. Now if I sent the new form into them after 120 days connected ( in July i think) are they likely to say......" ah sorry love, but you sent us the wrong claim form"

There is suttle differences in the claim forms which is downloaded here:

mainly you now only have 21 days instead of 28 but also you have to have the dispatch sheet!!!!!

So my question is: Has anybody got a copy of the old style "28 day" claim form that they can email to me?
I would be most greatful for any help....
    Thx

Have been ill and not around for a while. My experience is that they are now very very slow at paying. I have been with them for a few years. I send by special delivery, separately (as I noted that they had changed their T&C). I don't mind waiting 70 days (which I think is very unreasonable), but now they are messing me around. I don't see anything in the T&C that gives a response time or defines a quality of service... and so it would be difficult to complain...a bit like British Gas!

Not so sure about that; there ARE specific timescales and if there weren't a degree of reasonableness could be inferred. As for British Gas - give me ANY other company apart from Royal Mail EVERY time!!

How long is everyone waiting on Phoneboxdirect to settle claims at the moment?

They received my 4th claim on 29 May and I got the usual email to say that it had been logged onto the system on the 6 June. The next email I received on 27 June was different to the ones I have had previously

    Cashback Claim Department

    Order Reference No: PBDXXXXXX

    Tracking No: XXXXXXX

    Dear Mrs. MBM,

We can confirm your claim has arrived at our processing centre and has been scheduled for assessment. We will update you by email when your claim has been authorised for payment.

    Kind Regards
    Phonebox Direct

This email address does not accept incoming mail

Usually the second email says that the claim is being processed and they will have the paperwork out in 28 days. (yeah, right) This email suggests that I am still waiting for an email to tell me my claim is being processed  to think I used to think they were taking the mickey when I was waiting 2 months for my cheque! Its been over a month already and it looks like i have at least another 2 months to wait judging by how long it normally takes them to write the cheque and post it.

Well i would be interested to hear from anyone :)

I suppose I SHOULD be sympathetic, but it really sounds like you've been completely careless and will now have a lot of difficulty in claiming ANY cashback.

    1) The original forms can still be download IF you kept the email they sent you. Personally, I couldn't understand why ANYONE wouldn't so much of their money at stake! I copied of 10 instead of 5 as soon as I purchased my contracts - just in case.

    2) If not, you may have lost the chance. I can't see them sending you one and each form has a unique (so I believe) code on the top when you pribnt it off - if I'm right, a copy of someone else's wouldn't help (and personally bearing that in mind I wouldn't give anyone a copy of my own in case it messes up MY claims!

    3) I very much doubt (given how cavalier you've been with the basics from the start) that you even understand WHICH bill to send in. If I'm right you need to do a LOT of reading back through all these threads to work it out.

    Good luck!

Thx mobile junkie for taking the time to reply.
But I have to stop you. I have not lost my origional email. I still have it. I am not that careless. The problem is when I click on the link it will only bring up the new forms. Now the number on the top is not an individual number. It may be a different number for the forms pre "21 days", but that the extent of the number difference. You can test this by looking at your old email and you will see that you no longer have access to your good old forms either. Now I thought this forum was to help the consumer, and I do appreciate Mobilejunkie that you have in the past helped alot of people, but please cut me some slack!

Now imagine the senario where I bought the phone, got sent the email, and did not go to print out the forms for a couple of days where in this time they had changed. The point I am tring to make is: it is not a careless mistake, just an unforseen error........ I can imagine i am not the only person this would effect..... so any help would be gratfully accepted.
    Thx in advance
