I got some of these it was really funny in my local store because the assistant was putting them on the shelfs turning round to scan and check more were a penny to put on the shelf and the ones she had just put there were gone.

Anyway i got mine before the fights began, I'll never have to buy another lightbulb!!!

Not all the bulbs are 1p

I scanned most on the shelf and the only ones which were 1p are shown in the picture attached.

    Happy hunting

Tesco in South Wigston had the bulbs on the left going through at 1p (don't know about the rest as I particularly wanted the 100w equivalent ones). The SA was amazed and I think was about to call a supervisor, when I explained I had seen it on the internet etc etc. She asked me if I would nip and get her eight of them, and the rest of the queue behind me went for a few as well.

I don't think the masses have cottoned on yet at this particular Tesco, so no restrictions to four or anything.

    Thank you so much, OP!

The offer in Wales is for ones that look like this...

That made me laugh - all the way from Wales! Cheers but!
    Here come the girls....100% Gorgeous!!!
  • I can confirm that the Tesco in Aberdare (Wales) does not have these on offer at 1p, i checked all types on the shelf by self scanning and they all came up normal price. I would say though that half the shelf was empty and the price tag missing from the front of shelf.

And I must say that the Tripple crown and hopefully the Grandslam will both look stunning in the candlelight. HeHE:T

....and maybe the dickshunry as well??

...or is the double 'p' a bit like the double 'L' ??? ;)

(Quite remarkable that the other five nations have managed to reduce the quality of their rugby to a level below that of Wales this year...)

Great post!! I was in my PJs watching when I read this so got dressed and rushed out. None of the bulbs were marked down but whne I checked on self scanner they were all 1p. I went back to the shelf and bought 21 for 21p. So new bulbs for me , my mum and sister and I am going back in the morning.
  • I have only just stopped laughing at your post, I am very very sorry that I offended your language by spelling triple with 2 p's, as a touch typist sometimes this happppens after a long dayy.

As a Welsh Rugby fan I am reveling in the glory of winning the triple crown this year, as I am sure you would be if (and I am guessing here) ENGLAND were on top form.:D
