I've been an Aldi girl for ages but haven't been for a couple of months cos I've been trying to boost my Tesco points...must say the quality of Aldi's food is far superior than most of the Tesco stuff I've tried - to spend the same amount in Tesco I have to stick to quite a few of their 'value' range and most of it is minging !
Just done a quick shop at Aldi to stock up on stuff I really can't bear from anywhere else...and it felt like coming home ! :rotfl: How quick and friendly are the check-out staff ! Tesco's miserable SA's taking forever to scan a couple of items don't compare.
Anyhoo - my Aldi favoutites today are
Tins of tuna with tomato and basil
Small pots of fruit cocktail in grape juice
Peanut brittle
'Torpedo' bread rolls with seeds on0 -
Aldi Thick Ridge Cut Crisps £0.89 8 pack - shows what a rip off McCoys are0

Lidl's red (Rosso) Balsamic vinegar makes a lovely sweet-ish salad dressing with some extra virgin olive oil.0

Don't bother with these, i bought them last week, there is no taste whatsoever!
i have to say i agree but i found it was only teh steak flavour that was tasteless perhaps they had a faulty batch :O i bought mine in banbury last weekend.0 -
If you want taste then try the chilli hand cooked crisps in the big share bag from Aldi...not that I would share them with anyone - MINE MINE !:rotfl:0

Have to disagree on the peanut butter (Route 66 smooth) - bought some from Lidl and found it wouldnt 'spread' it just moved about my toast! The only way to get enough on was to pile it on - the taste wasnt too bad but didnt like the texture. Will try the Aldi one next.0

has anyone tried the cider from lidl's? they do 4 cans for just under £2 i think it was. i have a bit of a strongbow fan in my house and these would work out a lot cheaper if they are okIt only seems kinky the first time.. :A0

Don't know about the cans but I can vouch for the Aldi £1.50 2 ltr bottled cider - absolutely gorgeous! It has a real apple flavour and I speak as a fan of varietal ciders. The Lidl one one one the other hand is pants - nothing but chemical flavours and not nice ones at that.
