Have just found out (by opening a packet!) that Lidl Choco Hopper sweets are in fact just the same as peanut M&M's! 75p for a 250g bag. :)

Aldi - Shipsterns Draught Bitter, Excite Mens Shave Gel. Both top quality & value

This Shipstern's Bitter was called Shipstones before, before the revamp, and as far as I'm concerned, the old Shipstone's was far better.

You're talking the draught, though, and I will try this and report.

The shave gel mentioned does a fine smooth running. 59p or so, definitely a strong buy.
Along these lines I'd also recommend the Excite After Shave. Unbeaten at £ 1.79, down from 1.99. There's also a new triple blade razor out, haven't tried it yet. The old one, £1.59 incl. 4 refill blades is fine and does a perfect job, but it's absolutely razor sharp, you better use it with caution.

Aldi have new cookies on offer, called "Madonnas", made in the Netherlands. The nougat bottom ones are really addictive.

Had the pickled herring tonight, in a glass jar. 99p. Crying out for more. Love it. Comes from Poland, which I've always regarded as a great food nation. Proven once more.

...with a 3 year manufacturer's warranty on most products included, at zero extra cost, definitely yes.

Like Germans would buy anything where they'd have to pay extra for warranty!!! Unheard of in the land of Mercedes, Krupp, Goethe und Schiller. No way, José. German thinking goes: if makers don't trust their products to last 3 years, why should we as consumers??? Other way round, if makers give that warranty at no extra expense, they must be quite confident in the quality of their products.

In the rare case of things going wrong, you may well get stuck for ages being put on hold in those helplines. But just pester your store manager, and a replacement product will be on the way soon.
