You can send your second letter after 14 days already so don't wait around!
You are chasing the charges they have levied on your account for being overdrawn - you can find them on the statements. So yes, claim back the £140.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

How do I work out the interest owed? My fees run from Aug 02 - Sept 05, do I just add up all the fees then add a certain percentage for interest or what? Or do i have to do each charge separate0

Just use Martin's calculator on the site. Put in the date of the charge and the charge made for each item. It will give you a running total. It saves a lot of work, so it is a great tool“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0

Hi, I am new to all this so I hope someone can advise me. I sent my 2nd letter requesting all charges back to my local Nationwide branch on 22nd March (recieved and signed for on the 23rd) and have not heard anything. The 14 days was up yesterday (Good Friday) so how long should I leave it until is send the next letter and am I doing the right thing by sending the letters to my local branch ?
Many thanks0 -
Obviously because of the Bank Holiday w/end you do need to allow a few days grace before going on with your next step as listed in Martin's article below.

As a new bank charge reclaimer myself I simply couldn't have done it without the help of this site. As some kind of thank you I have been trying to give advise to some queries that new reclaimers are having and trying to help using my experience as a foundation. The biggest single bit of advice I can give is to read this page ( http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1141050760,24632, ) carefully as it tells you almost everything you need to know. I would also suggest watching Martins video at this address ( http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=9061472225374011135 ) as this explains things in simple terms we all understand. Good luck to you all in your quest to reclaim your charges and remember that the banks are trying ever more sneaky tactics to put you off. STICK TO THE STEPS PROVIDED ON THIS SITE. STICK TO YOUR TIMESCALE NOT THE BANKS. READ THE LINKS I HAVE PROVIDED AS THEY ANSWER THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS. And remember to thank the people that run this site so well as they work very hard to make it all happen.
Good Luck again.Stick to YOUR timescale. Dont take ANY bull. DONT be intimidated. The law is on OUR side.Feel free to thank me if I was a help
