    Hi - I use Orange and I dont think it works

    Ive just tried the 07744 pre dial before a germany no. and got a message from Orange stating this was a premium rate call did I want to proceed! I take it orange have caught on and blocked this??

    Barbara, they've been charging for just over a week, and that message has been there since Tuesday or Wednesday. It's discussed on some other threads here as well.

    The strange thing is they have done this to all numbers that start with 07744, whatever their use; even ones that don't exist.

    Thanks all for your positive remarks.One thing more I've looking at latest O2 offers at double minutes and double texts for life and only a 30 day contract, but i am not sure if 0845,0870 and 07744 are included in your inclusive minutes. I've phoned their CS all day and they don't have a clue, one is saying yes and the other is saying no, I don't know who to beleive. Does anyone knows and do u reckon it is the best deal available at the moment in terms of cross network minutes.

    as reported here & from personal experience both O2 & T-Mobile accept these 07744974363 calls as freebies with xnetwork mins..
    so whichever give yiou better deal is the one for you..


    BUT... i reckon if loadsa people loke u ring up 02 & tmobile asking rthem if they accept 07744 they will certainly soon STOP accepting these calls as free!!
    so IMHO use it while it lasts & JUST SHUT UP!!


    dont mean to be offensive but i think all MSE's who ring up the mobile companies asking them stupid questions about 0774 must be bl...dy nuts... Just go with it!! :rolleyes:

    Just like to let u know Orange have started to charge for 07744 974497, they have classed it a premuim rate call charges i also spoke to them from 9 april this 07744 will no longer be free. shame i have used this number alot. u get a message from orange when u dial 07744.

    as I already said, this applies to all 07744 numbers, even fictitious incomplete ones. Also 07745 followed by 2 to 5

    Trying to access 0744 from my 02 mobile without success. None of the following work
    0744 then wait for an answer then dial +34690299..
    0744 then wait for an answer then dial 0690299..

    0744 then immediately +34690299..
    0744 then immediately 0690299..
