    This message about credit cards brings up a whole other issue that many are unaware of.
    I asked my credit card company about cancelling my card because I could not stop payment but because the agreement is through the issuing company that protects fraud by customers I couldn't
    Even if I cancelled the card, because it had been in force for some time as a long term payment, it would still be in force until the issuing company (V21) requested a stop. I have to ask them to please stop ripping me off
    This has angered me even more than the V21 cut off and is a warning to anyone thinking of using a credit card payment for any long term payments
    I personally will never use a credit card for such a payment in future and my payment to my new provider, a cable company is by direct debit

    We had to cancel our Debit card because of V21, we couldn't get through to them through the phone!, It really ticked me off! :mad:

    I used to pay by debit card but lucky for me I changed to DD .
    Fast4/v21 took 2 payments from me in September ,I claimed one back because I had paid by DD. I have just cancelled my DD .

    I had a letter of apology and refund for November from V21 today, I am not sure what shocked me more, the apology or the fact I got post on a Saturday :rotfl:

    How do you work this out to be FREE ?

    0845 numbers cost a minimum of at least 1p per minute and often it's 3p or 4p.

    You can get 0845 dialup Internet services from scores if not hundreds of companies including Freeserve/Wanadoo, Tiscali, IC24 - it's called Pay As You Go

    BT charges 4/1/1pppm (Weekdays/Evenings/Weekends)

    18185 charges 3/0.5/0.5ppm

    Thanks for the confirmation/clarification of the rates.

    However the point of this FREE dial-up is that even at the lowest 0.5ppm, surfing for just 24hours would cost £8 ! EIGHT POUNDS !!!!!!!!!
