I had a refund and letter from V21 confirming the account was closed a couple of days ago. So it is possible to get your pennies back! :D

So it is possible to get some feedback from v21/biscit. That gives me a bit more hope! Sounds like a bit of a nightmare to stop continous payments authority on a credit card. At the worst my credit card expires in 3 months time so that should stop the !!!!!!s getting much more money off me. :j

Well December 1st is fast approaching, lets hope our lines will be clear. I am off to another provider not going for either Netservices friends or V21. Sky Free Broadband looks reasonable.
My Mind wanders, if found please return.
  • Hi,
I did not realised that I am/was a v21 customers until not long ago! I thought I was with zazizam! They have been over charged me before a few times in the past and even this month! I have to closed my credit card account to stop them from taking money this week!

My credit card company is Goldfish, (MOrgan Stanley own them) although I was on dd with V21, and have cancelled that, they did have my credit card number from when I signed up to bb, I rang Goldfish and said if V21 did revert back to my credit card what would happen, they said not to worry they would deal with it. So far everthing is ok.
    Regards oap

    Biscit takes the biscit!

I cancelled my BB and Freetalk by recorded letter on 16th and reverted back to BT (so to use the Orchid dialler I purchased) which I thought would happen today, so I phoned BT to check. Somebody (V21/Freetalk/biscit) have cancelled my reversion to BT!

Angry. I hope I have made it clear to BT that I want to migrate to them, and that they are not to let anyone impede this. We'll see.

I'm going to complain to Ofcom again. I really hope that they get some gumption and teeth, so they can fine companies that act like this. I do think that V21's behaviour is not exactly kosher.

I've ordered BB from Newnet as this seems to meet my criteria of cheapness and good rating both here and on the adsl guide. We'll see.

Glad I got away from Netservices. ;)

  • Biscuit posted a message up on their customer portal, that normal service would be resumed shortly. They say they are still going to court to fight netservices for compensation and that compo would be paid out to customers too.
They have given a link to leave your details for reconnection and said they would contact you within 24 hrs....well, I left my details on the 1st and no-one has come back to me
Having said that..........I use my pc a lot and I'm on dial-up, so If I'm not in work I'm on the pc so they may not be able to contact me.....maybe I should have given my mobile number instead.
I wondered if anyone else had been contacted ?

I never had any problems at all with v21, price was good and very very rarely could I not get on the net first time, so if I get the same service....I'm stayin put.
If they are as good as their word....and I took a screenshot ;)

maybe the compo will be a couple of months free service or extra bandwidth.

  • Does anyone have a copy of the original v21 broadband terms and conditions prior to the Biscit merger, particularly those concerned with terminating the contract?
