TornadoTom wrote:Biscuit posted a message up on their customer portal, that normal service would be resumed shortly. They say they are still going to court to fight netservices for compensation and that compo would be paid out to customers too.
They have given a link to leave your details for reconnection and said they would contact you within 24 hrs....well, I left my details on the 1st and no-one has come back to me
Having said that..........I use my pc a lot and I'm on dial-up, so If I'm not in work I'm on the pc so they may not be able to contact me.....maybe I should have given my mobile number instead.
I wondered if anyone else had been contacted ?
I never had any problems at all with v21, price was good and very very rarely could I not get on the net first time, so if I get the same service....I'm stayin put.
If they are as good as their word....and I took a screenshot
http://www.v21.co.uk/mediacentre/your_broadband_connection.asp
maybe the compo will be a couple of months free service or extra bandwidth.
Tom
Same here TT. I quite like the section of the latest Biscit update that states that customers staying with them will receive their share of compensation that Biscit claim successfully from Netservices. I think we loyal customers should receive a premium service, although I haven't heard from a Biscit representative yet either:cool:0 -

Hi GuessWho, Apparently I'm on /was on "Up To 8MB Home Broadband" and I upgraded to an annual contract in June moving over from Free 24-7 dial up. Your help again will be very much appreciated0 -

This was exactly the same package and move I made lotstolearn. In fact, I had only been with my new BB package for 1 month before the V21 vs. Netservices debacle began.:mad:0 -
Trouble is weaver33 I'm not sure of the cancellation clause in that contract and after the recent shenanigans I am more than a little wary of just signing up with them again even though I had always been very pleased with the service I received from them up to that point. If I'm not happy £105 if an awful lot of money to 'lose'!
However, if my mind was put at rest on that point I would be more than happy to go back to them. But no matter how much I try and contact v21 Biscit I am ignored as most everyone else seems to be except for the very occasional public statements they put out.0 -

Believe it or not, the old terms are still on the servers, but no longer linked to of course
But even if they are removed, i have copies and could host them elsewhere if required
If you want the terms for your previous dialup package, then i could probably provide those.
The V21 dialup packages had names, such as:-
V21 Lite
V21 Standard
Net Head
Small Business
Unlimited
Business
Insomniac
Pay as you go
As an example, here are the terms for the
V21 standard dialup package
Now regarding your 8Mb package, there are a couple to choose from.
The following links can be very slow to load (minutes), so be patient and give it a little time, they should load eventually.
If they won't, then i can host them elsewhere for you
The same applies when trying to Save the files!
There is the 8mb home unlimited package
and also the up to 8mb home broadband package
there is also a freemax unlimited package
Very interesting to note that all the 8Mb product terms (including business) state under 2.1 outlining the service:
to access the Internet on an 'always-on' basis at transmission speeds of up to 2000 Kbps.
This suggests that perhaps all they did was to re-hash the old 2Mb terms, or had little faith in Max
There is also a business 8Mb0 -

Your own statement tells you everything you need to know0 -
Many thanks to you Guess Who for keeping posting useful info here (both threads).
Wonder if you had a route to Fast 4 Unlimited Dial UP £4.99 as per September 06 when I signed up...some server floating in the Spyderspace....
Clicked on your V21 link but that referrred to £13.99 per month as Standard so presume that was BB and their current deal?
As have never received any Biscit T&Cs since 20/10 when they confirmed my F4 contract now bought by them (no mention of V21), any info relating to the F4 deal I did sign up for would be helpful re my Ofcom enquiries.
Biscit are still not replying to any communications, still have not made refunds promised over a month ago and I have no access to any sort of Member Portal but still getting online; currently.
Any help appreciated.0 -

I got cut off and had my account put on hold, no further payments have been taken.
I can still logon at this address : http://portal.v21.co.uk/index.asp?channel=Home
