    Just phoned the Customer services department regarding an error message appearing when i was trying to log on. Took some time to get the problem solved but hey it is a freephone number.

    Whilst waiting on this to be fixed i spoke with a customer service rep by the name of Gordon Mushet who stated that Primus had launched 8MB BB now at £1 more than the 2MB broadband. I was quoted £17.99 for upto 8MB with the saver 2 package.

    Think i will be giving them a phone back later on in the week to upgrade this to the 5.5 MB my exchange can support the now. Whats a pound afterall.

    :T After a little problem with an incorrect MAC, and some confusion as to the BB start date, I am now (easily) connected to Primus two weeks earlier than told for phone and BB! Excellent customer service so far, and lots of savings to be made this year!!!

    Yes all sorted now.. after about two months of being messed about. got setup on friday. On the variable connection..upto 8meg and its perfect.

    1 problem tho.. i cant send any emails out..get a protcol error..

    does anyone know the outgoing server details for outlook?

    both incoming and outgoing mail uses mail.eprimus.co.uk - did you setup the email account as pop3 ?
    Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

    As stated by lucidamike !! But ensure you put in your account name & password correctly (the ones they sent you with the confirmation letter). Otherwise you won't get connected. I am sticking with Google mail, it is so much better.

    did they offer a wireless router? or is that too much to ask for? i am just looking into renewing contracts and going wireless - doin my head in, but primus may be an option.

    Hey come on ! A free wireless router at these prices !! You could probably pay a bit extra to get one, it doesn't cost anything to phone them and ask!!.

    Do Primus offer an 8mb service?

    There isn't a broadband website.

    You need to contact them by phone for the details and to set it up if you want to.
