If you add an entry into the routing table or the carrier code, how do you delete the entry without clearing all the tables and adding them again.
Overwrite the unwanted row with a duplicate of another wanted one (except, obviously, for the Carrier or Routing row number on the end).

  • There is nothing I have done to restrict saving - have you extracted the spreadsheet from the zip file or are you opening it from within it? If it is the latter then you may well have problems saving it again.

Try 'File' -> 'Save As' and save it to your 'My Documents' folder and see if you get a better result.

    To KevinLawry.

I try to amend your sheet to make 0870 and 0845 route through BT and 118 route through 0900192192 but when I go to save it the paper clip says "document not Saved"

    Any reason for this?

My V4 has taken to dialling numbers twice so we hear the number being dialled after the call is connected.

We're on the (previously) automatic Heinz program.

Whats the best way to reset it and then get the latest settings? I've tried forcing home having programmed the new number for the server but it still does the dialling twice problem on outgoing calls.

That's normal. You're hearing the Orchid dialling after you have finished dialling (it assesses what it needs to dial as a result of what you've dialled).

I wasn't clear. Let's say I dial 0845nnnnnn. I actually get through to the desired number and can hear (in this case) the "your call is important to us, please wait" etc and while I'm listening to this I hear the V4 dialling again.

So I guess I need to reset the V4 completely, program in the dialup number for Orchid, then do a forced update.

The instructions are baffling me at present.

    Oh. That is odd.

Did the call go via 18185's freephone gateway number in accordance with Routing Rule 15?

I guess it should have. The problem started after I followed the instructions in the recent update email from Orchid ie
To reset the Dial Up Number.
    Lift the handset and dial **# 0000 * 01536 207810 * 1 , let the digits dial
    out then hang up.

Then Force Home your V4 dialler.
    Lift Handset & dial ***12#4567890*3
    Replace handset

I'm signed up with 18185, Primus etc and everything was working prior to forcing the update.

You can check your online 18185 account to be sure.

If you think a complete reset is necessary, the 5 procedures are:

    Lift Handset & dial
    **# 0000 * 01536207810 * 1
    Replace handset

    Lift Handset & dial
    **# 0000 * 1 * 8
    Replace handset

    Lift Handset & dial
    **# 0000 * 0 * *
    Replace handset

    Lift Handset & dial
    **# 0000 * 0 * 7
    Replace handset

Finally Lift Handset & dial ***12#4567890*3 (this is the 'Force Home' procedure)
    Replace handset

The red LED on the V4 should now flash for at least 2 minutes. If it stops after 20 or 30 seconds, the Force Home has failed.
