I got my do da`s in a twist trying to skim read etc. Take it slower and digest it for me please. Reads like fscs + fsa

Am I correct in assuming that the only people so far who have had any payment for matured fixed rate bonds were those who received and returned the forms in December?
If they are working on a "first come first served" basis, then those of us who, through FSCS inefficiency, and through no fault of our own, were missed out when the first batch of forms was sent out before Christmas will now be penalised because we received the forms a month later than we should have.0 -

No. I sent my form back before Christmas and both of my FRB's had already matured several weeks previous.
I'm still waiting for my cheque.0 -
I will be looking out for the first person to report that they HAVEN'T lost any money by the way of interest through the Icesave debacle, because they received their cheque immediately after maturity of their fixed rate bond!
Will it ever happen ? Will the FSCS ever catch up? Any bets on the date? I'll go first and guess 1st May 2009.0 -
I was told a cheque would be with me "anyday". That was 10 days ago.
So "anyday" it is. Quite literally. Within the next week i will hit the point at which i will be worse off having gone down this route. I have worked this out using rates currently available. If i worked it out using fixed rates available in November when i COULD AND SHOULD have taken the cash via the net, i am considerably down on the deal. However after losing control of my cash in a FRB, i vowed never to have one again. Certainly not in this environment.
Somebody posted they have never felt so powerless dealing with the FSCS.
I totally agree.
Just imagine what the scenario would be if Barclays or NatWest went tits up.
This only affected 220,000 people roughly. It would be carnage.0 -
nothing here yet again so I am going to compose an e mail to anyone I can access who might have a bit of clout. I would love to talk to broon and darling but they have bigger fish to fry than us. I feel that they have broken their promise to us in a big way. I too feel absolutely powerless and without a voice0

I thought you'd managed to get a reply from LM,kittie. What has she got to say about all this?
I was not worthy of an answer.0
