Just thought I would add a quick rough note to this. I did take a peek at this and thought about writing a major piece. Then in the end after a wee bit of evaluation it didnt' look as good as it seems.
You need to be on an Orange package costing more than £30 a month - thats a hefty mobile tariff, and Orange simply isn't that competitive, and even existing customers will find they need to tie yourself in for a new contract.
The cost of broadband is diminishing. Most people will find themselves financially better of going for the TalkTalk phone deal (see UK's cheapest home phone provider article) for broadband and cheap phone there.
This package is suitable for a few who are happy with that Orange tariff and thus may as well grab it anyway, but for most I wouldn't bother.

I hope they offer me (as an existing customer) a good deal.I think their customer service is a lot better than talktalk's.Not keen on 2 year tie in though!.....Neil0

hmmm, looks interesting. I am an existing Wanadoo customer, but have no need for a Orange mobile phone contract so it will be interesting to see what they offer me to stay.....0

Details of the new offer can be found here for those who might be interested.

To get it you must spend at least £30 a month line rental on an Orange Mobile.
There is no connection fee, but you still need to spend approx £11 a month for landline rental. There's a 2 gig a month cap for the service and your are tied into an 18 month contract.
The offer comes with a wireless router and Orange's E&W VoIP package. For an extra £6 a month, customers can sign up to the new Orange Anytime package which gives them free calls to UK landlines.PF.0 -
The offer of 'Free' broadband is dependent on having a mobile contract with Orange for £30 or more per month.
Livebox is of no interest to me and my Orange mobile is PAYG.
The search for cheaper broadband goes on!That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
If you have a £30+ contract with Orange for a mobile, then the broadband package is free.
Bit of a chocolate teapot of an offer as far as i am concerned. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

big big disappointment. Don't want to spend £30 a month on a mobile phone with Orange so staying with Wanadoo (well Orange) is no longer valid. Very little thought has gone into this relaunch by Orange and I wouldn't be surprised to see many of the existing subscribers leave. I mean its cannot get anywhere near the Talk Talk offer for value for money
Lets hope that Sky's broadband package offers something a bit better than this when its launched in the next month or so.0 -
