I really don't want to hand him the invoice until his stuff is all gone... it would only fire off his teenage rebellious side again. So I'll hold onto that for now.

But the Notice of Intended Disposal is going out via recorded delivery today (to his parents' house).

Excellent!

So he was supposed to collect the rest of his stuff yesterday, but never turned up, or made contact?

I'm totally astounded that someone could be so irresponsible and arrogant, I'd be embarrassed if I was in his shoes! (mind you, he prob is, just would never admit it!)

- Towels and linens

These items are being held in storage at the address XXX and are available for your collection during the next 14 days. I can offer you the following time and date slots:

- Friday 13th January midday-5pm
- Saturday 14th January 10am-midday or 4pm-6pm

It's quite simple BL. Don't bother communicating with him, other than to confirm whether or not a date or time he suggests is suitable for you, and then make it clear (if its convenient to you) that you will be there for just one hour and that if he misses the slot, you won't be around or offer to leave the bags on the steps if he prefers.

Put the onus on him to be specific and timely, fit in with your plans.

OK, yeah I've tightened it up a bit:
These items are being held in storage at the address XXX and are available for your collection during the next 14 days. I can offer you one of the following time and date slots, which should be sufficient to move them out of the house:

- Friday 13th January 3pm-5pm
- Saturday 14th January 10am-midday or 4pm-6pm
- Sunday 15th January 10am-midday
- Friday 20th January 3pm-5pm
- Saturday 21st January 9am-11am
- Sunday 22nd January 11am-1pm

If you intend to come at one of the above times you must contact me at least 24 hours in advance and tell me which slot you have selected so that I can arrange entry to the property. You can contact me by phone / SMS... etc...

Okay, the letter's gone by recorded delivery to his parents' house. It's also gone as a PDF by email with the following cover note:
Hi BigGuns,

Please find attached notice regarding storage... this is to try and make things easier to organise (we seem to be constantly missing each other and I fear it's down to miscommunication). When you've chosen a time, let me know and we can both stick to it.

My new lodger has now moved in, so I'm sure you understand I can't keep hold of all your stuff indefinitely. We're both keen to get this over with.

Thanks,
Badger_Lady

Yea sure, when you back? I'm in swansea saturday overnight, there's no attachments?

I've just replied reattaching the letter (I checked and it was on the original email, but could have corrupted or something).
