I had an Egg card & an Egg Money card, but at the moment only 1 card has appeared on mybarclaycard.co.uk, and I used my existing Barclaycard login.
  • Wondering if anyone can give me any advice? I have had a default with egg for about 3 years and I have been sending them payments every month without fail which was agreed with the CCA. I have had letter from Barclays saying my account is moving to Barclaycard. My Bank account is with Barclays too. Will they start requesting the full payment of my account and take money from my personal account.

Really worried so if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

    heres one...
i had my Egg MC registered to paypal but have now swapped it to another. at the same time i have registered a new email address at paypal which i want to be my "primary" email.

having confirmed the email address, to make it the primary one guess what? i need to enter the FULL card number to complete the process. of course i shredded the old cards on monday.

can any clever souls out there think of anyway of finding my old number? i have that card registered as the payment method at every online store i use but i cannot think of any of them that would display the full number.

anyone with better paypal knowledge than me might have other ideas?

    thank you.

bit unhappy to receive an email for what was my egg money card saying

'Finally, if you have already set up a direct debit, please remember that your payment will be made on or before the payment due date.'

    but maybe just badly worded

Can finally get into my account which is something. One odd pending transaction for £1 which I have no idea what it is for (haven't used the card yet, only to change my pin) and my cashback is incorrect....but we're one step forward from yesterday at least.

I changed my payment card details at graze.com and they tested the new card details by authorising £1. When they don't actually take the pound, it'll disappear. Other firms may do the same.
"It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis
  • Just checked again and they've not addressed any of the many problems with my accounts in the last 2.5 days.
Not sure whether the false "you've missed a payment" message was that threatening last time - don't remember seeing the bits about legal action and negative credit reports. Still, if they do put anything negative and false on my credit report that'll be defamation...

Have sent them a secure message about the many issues and errors. Not holding my breath!

  • Well I've managed to get in to my account today. Only November and October statements showing - and the October one has no transactions visible, and it has reset my cashback to only show money accrued on my November statement. But at least it isn't saying I didn't pay last month's bill any more, so I suppose it's progress.
  • Grrr, I take it back, they've charged me £12.38 interest on my November statement. I pay in full by DD and have never incurred a penny in interest charges. Either it's from the gap between them failing to recognise last month's payment in full on 26th Oct and then realising I had paid, or it's because the payment in full DD was £189.23 less that the statement amount, due to a refund for that amount being applied before my DD was taken and they can't recognise that as paid in full. Have sent a complaint through...

I am though having a slight snigger that their customer service manager is a Mr McWeeney. I share an office with an american who refers to incompetents/idiots/irritants as weenies, it seems strangely apt...
  • Not even tried logging on yet.

Think ill give a few days to settle down. Seeing a missed payment message would just get me irate.
