Oh, I said Taataa looked younger than me, so she freaked out and called me creepy for looking at her (after saying I couldn't see her), then removed it.

Ah, nothing, it was a misunderstanding.

Taadaa didn't realise you could see a person's avatar on every post, if the right setting is selected. So she thought that Lotus had searched her profile to check it, and then again after she removed it. But he didn't.

That's the thing for me - it perpetuates the myth that women who have a lot of sexual partners are somehow much worse than men who do the same.

You see the same mentality extend into the subject of this thread; affairs. You see time and time again that the female side of an affair has FAR more vitriol heaped upon them than the male. In fact, in some cases, there almost seems to be a mentality that men are poor, helpless creatures who get sucked in by calculating women who seems to possess the powers of Sirens. What's even more bizarre is that much of this type of rhetoric comes from other women! It's almost as though feminism never happened....

I don't think many people, other than PTN have defended the bloke. In fact, I think the bloke has been blamed by people over and over again, but its PTN who has defended him -as it is her right to do, even if people remain unconvinced. I also don't think most of the people who feel ''opposed'' to affairs have called her a !!!!!! or said its all her fault.

Yes, you do have a point.

I also don't agree with the mentality that somehow men can not help it really, as they are by nature designed to 'sow their wlld oats'.

I said I was referring to affairs; not PTN's situation (sorry to pick you up on that but I've had several occasions in the last few days where general comments have been taken to be specific when they were not)

If I were to comment on PTN's case I'd say it'd be really interesting to see if she'd gained half the amount of nasty personal comments she got if she'd actually been a man talking about an affair he was having with a married woman.

I think on a board that I think is mainly used by women he might have done..

fair enough about specifics....though you did also say ''the subject of this thread'' so...that IS PTN's situation! There have been a lot of general points over the last few days (and weeks,

)which I agree with you, don't really refer to PTN's situation specifically...yet, if we're making generalisations in a thread about specifics it seems fair to refer back to it.
