    I got the BESTRATEGUARANTEE email, & the 'amended to 0.00' reservation confirmation email yesterday, from Ramada, so thought all was OK, then just now another email has come in, staight from the hotel, saying it's not valid because:- "...the rate which you have found is a pre-payment rate with non-refundable, non-transferable terms and conditions, therefore it is not a comparable with our Rate of the Day..."

    Am I the only one this has happened to; can they do this? Is this in the T&C's? Can I do anything?

    Did you use expedia ?
    I haven't gotten any message like that but I hope they don't start sending emails to everyone now saying that are "taking back the free room" :mad:

    sorry i meant to say the lady at the reservations desk gave me a hotel number for extra bed so i think we are sorted for the free room for us all

  • this is fantastic, i got the Ramada Royal ascot for my wifes birthday, and for my birthday she bought me a Ferrari Driving day which would be a long drive to loughborough and back in a day, but thanks to Ramada then i have a hotel in Tamworth for Gratis. How do we vote this as post of the month???

  • I received the following two messages last night:

    Your current reservation shows you are booked for 3 adults and 1 child. We must input the correct amount of adults and children when we research your claims. Your screen shot shows you have inputed 2 adults and 2 children. We must go by the information on your reservation. I have documented your screen shot into our screen shots.

    Again from the email I sent you before, we must go by the information on your reservation. We have no way of telling how old the children are unless it is stated somewhere, but regardless we must go by the information on your reservation.


    What I think this means is that because on Ramada.com our family is defined as 3 adults and 1 child they will only input this to expedia.co.uk even though a child is defined differently there!

    Guarantee applies only to reservations made at the Ramada.com website
    In case of disputes
    ScreenGrab
    Press the Print Screen button, open Paint (Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->Paint) Paste it then save the file - can then print or send as needed
    With Expedia, make sure you screengrab the PAYMENT page before you make your claim,
    This is not asked for when making a claim, but is your insurance\proof that there was a cheaper rate.

    You can't use 'opaque sellers such as Priceline or Hotwire
    The Guarantee does not apply to websites or rates where the Ramada brand and/or specific hotel and location are not known until the booking is made such as Priceline® or Hotwire®.
    BTW Priceline has a non opaque side which you can use

    How to submit a claim

    Some valid points:
    • Only one free room night will be offered per stay
    • Guest must submit the claim within 24 hours after booking the original Ramada reservation and at least 24 hours before scheduled arrival
    • The competing rate on another website must be for
    the same hotel,
    the same dates,
    the same room type,
    the same number of guests
    the same currency
    be publicly viewable and bookable via the Internet.
    • Any rate change is not effective until the guest receives written confirmation. The standard claims processing time is four business hours (Central Standard). Claims submitted outside of business hours will be processed on the next business day.
    They are open 7am-10pm CST (mon-fri)

    Well, Blindman, I did all that, & can see no basis for my latest email from the hotel itself (see post #225 above) but they're contesting it - I see a battle ahead!

    Any suggestions, anyone?
