Anyone could spoof 011111, I used to spoof using that number too at times.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

Strange, the only thing Google comes up with at that address is:

British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association
    The Old School Room
    Loughborough Road
    Leicester
    LE4 5PJ

    http://www.harper-adams.ac.uk/groups/rural/files/Rural_Lifestyles.pdf

As they said they'd recently changed addresses it could be sharing the same office space or maybe the Hang Gliding Assoc have moved recently, as id said in the previous post the only details I was given was the postcode and that it was "The Old School Room" hence the royal mail search.

Since the post ive filled in the online form on the TPS website and subsiquently realised that the ball lies with the Information Commisioners Office, but looks like the TPS will liase on our behalfs if we complain. Also posted a link to this thread so they can see what others have had to deal with.

Fingers crossed for a positive outcome, anyone else think that contacting Watchdog would be a good idea? Can almost hear Nicky Campbell now :D

I've had dozens of calls over the last few weeks from numbers such as :-
    01111
    011111
    02022222222
    0449959

We're usually not around when they call, but after reading all of the above, I answered one of the calls this morning and waited for somebody to speak.

The caller asked if I had a mortgage on the property, and I asked him who he was and what company he was calling from.

You won't be surprised to find that it was Capital Finance. I told the caller that I was registered with TPS, and he apologised and told me that he would have my number removed from their database.

So that's the symptom dealt with, but what about the problem.
Where did they get my number from, and what can we all do about it to stop this kind of thing from happening ?
Surely Capital Finance should be made to answer to somebody ?

I've had loads of calls from the same 011111 number. Thanks to other posters here I now know it was very probably Capital Finance. I used the 0870 number provided by suityou69 - thanks - and had a short conversation with a young woman who answered the phone.

She claimed that my number was not in their database, so they could not have called me.

I think she was lying. I've done some research and have checked out CAPITAL FINANCE (INTERNATIONAL) LIMITED. They are about to go out of business; they have an intention to dissolve from Companies House, for not filing accounts on time.

I thought people here might want to contact the directors of that company, so here are some publicly available address details :

Daksha Parmar, 32, HOLME DRIVE, OADBY, LEICESTER LE2 4HF.
Harish Parmar is the company secretary, at the same address.

Why not write to them, or send them some of your junk mail ?;)

They are also both involved in City Credit Management, registered at the same address. City Credit Management have Consumer Credit Licences under various trading names, including Capital Finance.
Surprisingly, the address they gave to one caller, of 2 Melton Road, is listed as the address of their bank, a branch of Natwest !

One other thing - found a fax number on 192.com that is allegedly for them, in case anyone wants to harass them that way.

I am so pleased that its not just me getting inundated by these calls Iv just had 3 calls in as many minutes at 10 am this morning as well as throughout the day yesterday and from my 1471 they have been barraging me on friday as well. we picked up one of the calls on saturday and it was silent. am seriously considering having some fun with them next time they ring and wasting their time as much as they are wasting mine.

Surely, if they're phoning you, calling the company secretary and asking him to explain why is not unreasonable?

Searching for just the surname and postcode on 192.com usually works! 0116 271 3772 ;)
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
