    ASAP
    Venue/s
Car/s - if wanting to hire
Invites if making own need to get them made up

    6weeks
Cake (if having fruit cake needs time to mature)
Flowers - book florist with rough numbers, can choose details closer to time
Rings (though some standard sizes are kept in stock I have skinny fingers, they put a rush on my order it took 3 weeks)
brides/bridesmaid dresses if getting from dress shop (mine was off the peg bhs and took 2days to be altered)
    send invites

    4-6 weeks
    honeymoon
    Food
    book hair app
    book make up

    2-4 weeks
Men/boys suits - if hiring (suit n shoes shirt n waistcoat cravat)
    Your shoes, hair piece/hat
    drinks if buying own alcohol
    book spray tan
    favours,table decs
    choose music
Photographs - make a list of any shots you want posed or otherwise (I found a list from googling, it was things like getting ready, empty venue, full venue, arriving, cutting cake, 1st dance)

I'm not sure what happens with giving notice/reading the banns for church weddings but giving notice has a very specific timeframe.

Fab list! I needed shoes for my dress alteration so you might need to bump that back to the 6 weeks list (and bridal underwear ;))

If you don't fancy doing the bring a plate idea - we used Sainsburys and M&S party food. Looked great for a cold buffett (we got married aboard so only had a evening reception) and had lots of good comments. You just need someone on pickup duty on the day.

EA - hows the planning going? I can't believe your getting married so soon after having Lily :). I love, love, love the cupcake idea.

    Morning all!
    I'm all confused!
OH and my Mum both think Chris wouldn't like going to JLS because of the screaming girlies, he definitely wouldn't like it now but I thought he'd be ok by the time we go (it's in Jan, the week after his 4th birthday)

I don't know what to do, forget it or get them and try to sell nearer the time if he's still funny over loud noise?

Sami, if you buy them now and have to resell. Do you think you'll get face value? Or less?

They would deffo resell as people sometimes go to gigs without tix hoping to buy some outside :)

Most of it will be covered, and its a corset so i can trick my body into being in shape :D
  • Sami - what time is the concert? I'd imagine it it's the usual 7:30 start but JLS not on till about 9, will Chris not being getting tired and therefore more likely to be funny over the loud noises etc.

I personally think he's a bit too young, and it's a lot of money if you can't guarantee that he'll enjoy it (but that is only my opinion and I obviously I don't really know Chris ;)) But as you said, you could always try ebaying them nearer the time.

SJ - Thanks. Don't worry, Alfie is still very young. Liam is almost 8 months and there are only a handful of pictures of us both. I hate my photo being taken. That one is from a professional shoot. We have the shots on a dvd slideshow so i had to do some careful printscreen copies :) Very crafty mr photographer making sure we have to go and by prints.

EA - gorgeous dress. Are you having a black/silver theme? What is your dress like?

Sami IMO i think chris is too young. i took Meg to see girls aloud when she was 7/8 and she was very overwhelmed by it and there were a lot of people screaming and when entering/leaving there can be a lot of shoving. If he is scared of loud noise i think he would be terrified as the music is always blaring and makes my ears hurt.
if you can get tickets i would buy them and sell them on for a nice profit :D
What's for you won't go past you

thanks girls I think I was getting over excited :o I know he'd love to see "the JLS lads" as he says :p but the MEN is massive and probably pretty scary to a 4yo.
oh well, maybe I'll get him the dvd when it comes out :)
