Tara look in M&S for wedding cakes thats where we got ours and it was lovely! they do fruit, vanilla sponge and also choc!
right am off to the nursery run was just checking up on ebay lol! What's for you won't go past you0 -
Tia / 3 - My mate is gonna do those dvds for ya

Thank you.Ok, here's my thinking...
Bring a dish off our list,
DD does the cake with her OH,
her OH's Mum is a photographer,
my friends cousin is a whizz with arty stuff and has done all the tables for lots of weddings,
DD's friend does flowers,
Car, not so important, can find a smart one.
BUT, isn't the wedding bit a secret?
So bring a dish, photographer for a christening would work, but would you have to tel friends cousin, DD's friend that tables/flowers are for a wedding and not just a christening?
EA Have you picked/got your dress but just not tried it on yet because of bump?:beer:0 -
We're having a cupcake tower. The cakes we are possible using are from Asda, i have to buy some first to see if i like them

But it works out about £30 for all of them
Just need to find a stand!
3- Yes i already have it. Its in my wardrobe waiting for me to try on!

Oh wedding talk

Venue/s
Car/s - if wanting to hire
Invites if making own need to get them made up
6weeks
Cake (if having fruit cake needs time to mature)
Flowers - book florist with rough numbers, can choose details closer to time
Rings (though some standard sizes are kept in stock I have skinny fingers, they put a rush on my order it took 3 weeks)
brides/bridesmaid dresses if getting from dress shop (mine was off the peg bhs and took 2days to be altered)
send invites
4-6 weeks
honeymoon
Food
book hair app
book make up
2-4 weeks
Men/boys suits - if hiring (suit n shoes shirt n waistcoat cravat)
Your shoes, hair piece/hat
drinks if buying own alcohol
book spray tan
favours,table decs
choose music
Photographs - make a list of any shots you want posed or otherwise (I found a list from googling, it was things like getting ready, empty venue, full venue, arriving, cutting cake, 1st dance)
I'm not sure what happens with giving notice/reading the banns for church weddings but giving notice has a very specific timeframe.
Fab list! I needed shoes for my dress alteration so you might need to bump that back to the 6 weeks list (and bridal underwear
)
If you don't fancy doing the bring a plate idea - we used Sainsburys and M&S party food. Looked great for a cold buffett (we got married aboard so only had a evening reception) and had lots of good comments. You just need someone on pickup duty on the day.
EA - hows the planning going? I can't believe your getting married so soon after having Lily
. I love, love, love the cupcake idea. 0 -

Morning all!
I'm all confused!
OH and my Mum both think Chris wouldn't like going to JLS because of the screaming girlies, he definitely wouldn't like it now but I thought he'd be ok by the time we go (it's in Jan, the week after his 4th birthday)
I don't know what to do, forget it or get them and try to sell nearer the time if he's still funny over loud noise?0 -
Just a quick hello before boobie grouip this morning (if I can be bothered...)

Sami, if you buy them now and have to resell. Do you think you'll get face value? Or less?
They would deffo resell as people sometimes go to gigs without tix hoping to buy some outside

Most of it will be covered, and its a corset so i can trick my body into being in shape
