What were you reclaiming: PPI on 5 Loans
Who was the provider: NatWest (RBS)
How much did you get back: £3500
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: FOS
And then write your brief reclaim tale: Initially corresponded directly to bank using the template letters. They offered just the payments as goodwill, we said no and went to FOS and we were awarderd the 8% interest. Worked out about £2000 in repayments and £1500 in interest - so glad we said no.
Well done and Congratulations SideArm :T:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks Di and Robbed.
Now can anyone tell me how long I have to wait? Someone at Lloyds was very evasive, wouldn't guarantee whether it would be weeks, months or even, as I was getting really fed up, years!
I sent the forms back today - any idea when I'll be solvent again?0 -

Hi Bonnie
My hubby is still waiting for his credit card ppi payment unfortunately, but the difference is here is that his was dealt with by the FOS, so if may differ.
My hubby signed the acception form with the FOS in about OCT-NOV 2009, however the FOS are continuing to chase this up and was told it will be the next few weeks.
I would in your case keep chasing them.
We have just been successful with loan ppi's direct with them, this was direct, but it was an offer we were not happy with, and it was the only and final decision, so I noted they missed out many issues on our reasons, even though it was an offer, we were not happy, but I wrote back, also mentioned about their mistakes on loan dates and the things they missed looking into and they had recently agreed to have another look, and was told yesterday another offer is on the way in the post, however, I don't expect they will rush paying it out.
So keep chasing is best if you can.;)
Good luck XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
What were you reclaiming: loan
Who was the provider: Northern Rock
How much did you get back: £4380.27 = £3247.92 premiums and interest plus £1132.35 8% simple interest on premiums paid
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: after a letter
And then write your brief reclaim tale: we sent a template letter in 2007 which was rejected. Today we received a letter from Northern Rock completely out of the blue, saying they had conducted a further review of our PPI mis-selling complaint to ensure it was handled appropriately. Having reviewed the complaint, they were not able to establish that when we took out the PPI policy we were provided with sufficient detail to allow us to make an informed choice.
Thanks so much Martin and everyone involved with the PPI mis-selling campaign!
